At our company, research spans from initial product design to manufacturing of finished goods. So far, over 10 million hand instruments and over one million orthodontic appliances designed by LM™ R&D have been manufactured, which most of them have been exported to over ninety different countries. At the beginning of this month, we had the honor of hosting Prof. Dr. Axel Endruhn from Argentina at LM-Dental™. He collaborated with our LM-Dental™ team to prepare a workshop for 12 Key Opinion Leader dentists from 11 different countries. Dr. Endruhn delivered insightful lectures on microsurgery and minimally invasive periodontal techniques. The workshop took place at the Institute of Dentistry, Turku University. A big thank you to the LM-Dental™ Perio Key Opinion Leader group for making the event a success. It was a pleasure getting to know you better, and we truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I torsdags havde jeg fornøjelsen af at deltage i et lille event arrangeret af Plandent A/S, LM-Instruments Oy og Tatiana Brandt. Her fik jeg muligheden for at præsentere IKIGAI DENTAL ACADEMY og dele indsigter om, hvordan akademiet kan bruges som en platform til at forebygge mistrivsel og fremme arbejdsglæde i tandlægebranchen. Mit oplæg fokuserede på, hvordan IKIGAI's principper kan styrke faglig stolthed, arbejdsglæde og sikre en sund balance mellem arbejde og privatliv. En stor tak til arrangørerne for at skabe rammerne for en faglig berigende dag, og for at sætte fokus på IKIGAI DENTAL ACADEMY's arbejde og vision. IKIGAI DENTAL ACADEMY har også afholdt flere events, hvor vi har behandlet en række centrale emner: - Innovation i tandplejekarrieren, herunder processen med at skrive en bog om tandsundhed, med inspiration fra forfatteren af "Små Bisser." - Hvordan man påbegynder en forskningskarriere, de nødvendige supplerende uddannelser, samt vigtigheden af at etablere samarbejder for at skrive videnskabelige artikler og deltage i forskningsteams. - Tværfagligt samarbejde om patienter med systemiske sygdomme og komplekse medicinske behandlingsforløb, baseret på en artikel skrevet i samarbejde med to undervisende sygeplejersker. - Tandblegning, hvor vi gennemgik anamnese, de juridiske rammer for uddelegering, virkningsmekanismerne for blegemidler samt komplikationer og kontraindikationer. - Lokalanalgesi, med fokus på anamnese, farmakologi, kontraindikationer, præparater og maksimale doser samt potentielle komplikationer. - Minimal invasiv fjernelse af biofilm ved hjælp af Airflow-teknologien fra EMS - Nordic og implementeringen af GBT-protokollen, herunder behandling af parodontitis og mucositis. Vi diskuterede fordelene ved Airflow for både patienter, behandlere og klinikken. - Vigtigheden af onboarding-programmer og mentorordninger for nyuddannede tandplejere, med fokus på effektivt workflow, faglig professionalisme, trivsel og et godt arbejdsmiljø. Last week, we hosted a three-day LM-Activator™ seminar in Turku, Finland. We were pleased to welcome orthodontists from Eastern Europe and Central Asia to our LM-Dental™ facilities, where they learned about LM-Activators™ - a prefabricated appliance designed to support the healthy growth and development of the face and jaw. The orthodontists enjoyed lectures amidst the beautiful scenery of the archipelago and participated in hands-on training sessions. Our LM-Activator™ team also arranged visits to the Turku University of Applied Sciences and the Institute of Dentistry at Turku University. The diverse group of orthodontists appreciated the opportunity to explore these university facilities. A big thank you to all the orthodontists for their active participation, and to our hosts and lecturers for organizing this event with us! Syksy tekee tuloa ja arjessa se tietää monelle jokin uuden asian opettelua. LM-Dental™illa järjestimme tilaisuuden, jossa esitimme tulevan strategiakauden päälinjaukset henkilökunnallemme. Tavallisen kalvoesityksen sijaan halusimme tuoda päälinjaukset esille rastipisteiden kautta. Henkilökuntamme jaettiin pienryhmiin ja he saivat kiertää rastilta toiselle, esittää kysymyksiä sekä pohtia yhdessä mitä linjaukset tarkoittavat. At LM-Dental™, we organized an event where we presented the main outlines of the upcoming strategic period to our staff. Instead of a regular slide presentation, we wanted to highlight the main outlines through checkpoints. Our staff was divided into small groups, and they could move from one checkpoint to another, ask questions, and discuss together what the outlines mean. Viime viikonloppuna juhlimme LM-Dental™in vuosijuhlia. Tänä vuonna juhlien teemana oli ”LM™ goes to countryside”. Juhlissa nähtiin maajusseja, lehmityttöjä ja jopa leppoisa lehmä. Vuosijuhlien avulla haluamme muistaa henkilönkuntaamme ja nauttia toistemme seurasta hyvien herkkujen ja musiikin kera. Tilaisuudessa ojennettiin myös vuosimuistamiset ja jaettiin jokavuotiset LM-Awards palkinnot – palkinnot loisto työkavereille. Onnittelut vielä kerran teille kaikille! This year’s theme for the party was “LM™ goes to countryside”. At the party, there were farmers, cowgirls, and even a cozy cow. With the annual party, we want to remember our staff and enjoy each other’s company with good treats and music. During the event, annual mementos were also handed out and the yearly LM-Awards prizes were distributed – awards for excellent colleagues. Congratulations once again to all of you!
