Luvata Pori Oy is actively taking steps toward more sustainable and environmentally friendly production. ♻ At the beginning of 2023, Luvata Pori switched to using carbon-free district heating produced with renewable energy and carbon-free electricity in its operations. This change has significantly reduced the company’s greenhouse gas emissions. Next year, Luvata Pori is adding hydropower to its energy profile, which will further increase the percentage of renewable energy use. These important actions taken are examples of our steps toward carbon neutrality and Luvata’s goal of 100% renewable energy use. Luvata talent exchange program is a way to share knowledge, strengthen the cooperation between our 11 units, and provide growth opportunities for our employees.🌟 In the program, two Luvata units mutually agree on a short-term personnel exchange within a function. The duration of a talent exchange can vary from a few weeks to a few months. During their time in another unit, people can also get to know the local culture and enjoy being abroad, for example by watching a local hockey league game with colleagues. Recently, our units have had talent exchanges within the finance, IT, and production functions. We are proud of our São Paulo unit’s responsibility program Feels Good to Do Good, which actively benefits the community while fostering a sense of connection among the team members. 🙌 Under the program, Luvata São Paulo’s employees engage in various community support activities regularly. For example, they cook lunch for the homeless every month, have painted an asylum near the factory and have organized food and blood donations for those in need. Copper alloys such as CW106C, C18000 and C18150 are our expertise. 💡 From these alloys, Luvata manufactures products that are currently used in applications such as welding, electrical motors, and generators. With the new hot extrusion press, we have been able to approach entirely new markets with our copper alloy products. The new press enables us to produce copper alloy products in a wider range of sizes, both bigger and smaller than before, while simultaneously improving the quality of customized products.
