We have increased our outstanding 5-year NIB Environmental Bond (NEB) with a further SEK 750 million, taking its new total to SEK 2 billion. This is our 4th green bond of the year. With this transaction, our total NEB issuance for 2024 to date reached EUR 900 million. 🎓 Summer is a good time for learning and growth! The Estonian Business School's (EBS) 4th international summer school is concluding in #Helsinki! NIB's Head of Sustainability and Mandate Luca De Lorenzo welcomed the participants at the EBS Helsinki campus and shared how NIB finances the digital and green transitions. 💡 👆 This year's EBS summer school focused on the trends and best practices in #digital and #green transition. Luca provided insights to over 70 Master' students from 17 countries 🌍 on how NIB approaches the financing side of these transitions. 📣 NIB’s first half of 2024 report is out!   NIB had a strong first half of the year. During the first six months of 2024, the Bank signed a total of EUR 2,642 million in new lending and disbursed EUR 1,896 million. The net profit for the period increased by 12.3%, from EUR 127 million to EUR 143 million, compared to the same period in 2023. The increase in net profit is mainly due to higher net interest income.   “The Bank’s financial results continued the positive trend we saw during the first quarter of the year. Our earnings continued to improve, and net interest income increased by 15.8% compared to the same period a year ago.
