Exciting News! 💫 We're thrilled to announce that we will begin pilots of our groundbreaking EFSim (Executive Function Simulation) tool in Yorkshire schools! Our gamified tool simulates a home environment where children perform everyday tasks. Designed to assess executive functioning, it has demonstrated 88% accuracy in early ADHD detection. Our aim is to improve early intervention, provide tailored support, and offer valuable insights for students and families. We are offering free ADHD screening services for schools interested in participating in our pilot to help combat the massive ADHD waiting lists. This is thanks to the support of #innovateuk's Launchpad program that is dedicated to supporting innovation in the West Yorkshire area. Our web assessment evaluates an individual's executive functioning and generates an individualized report that helps the parents, caregivers, and teachers provide the support that the student needs, even if they don't necessarily meet the criteria for ADHD. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on arvioida ARVO-nimisen lääketieteellisen selainpohjaisen tietokoneohjelmiston toimivuutta ja turvallisuutta 8–13‐vuotiailla lapsilla aktiivisuuden ja tarkkaavuuden häiriöön (ADHD) liittyvien oireiden tunnistamisessa. We are looking to participate as an industry partner for this UCL academic led grant around women's health tech: https://lnkd.in/eKW_9p4p Did you know that the ratio of boys to girls diagnosed with ADHD is about 3 times in childhood? This ratio becomes closer to 1:1 in adulthood, suggesting that women and girls are underdiagnosed in childhood (Da Silva et al., 2020). This means that a large population of girls grow up without a diagnosis and without support, leading to them taking on harmful labels about their behavior which then leads to worse self esteem and outcomes. We have preemptively seen that our screening tool- EFSim, has a much smaller gender bias. However, we are interested in doing research to evaluate that more conclusively.
