I am not a huge fan of Larian right now. I liked using Vortex. I didn't know that their stupid patch would mess everything up and boy did it ever. NOTHING WORKS. And I just started playing a new game with some awesome HoTD mods. Now my Aemond won't have a chance to destroy the Sword Coast and romance Lae'zel (who is also delightfully modded). Really hope there will be a patch because I don't want to use Larian's mod manager for all the reasons listed above...

Well, Larian do it, they implemented his own mod manager and his ow mod toolkit, with this patch all my mods with _merged scripts don't work, only those who are replacers (loose files) seems to have no problem. I'm not sure if it's worth it to convert my mods to new format and upload them there, so I want to know if somebody knows if in the near future, we still have the possibility to keep uploading mods here, like some information about an update for LSlib or something like that, I think that we need an independent platform like Nexus to prevent any kind of censorship or bad use of the modders work.

That happened to me aswell, i just downloaded Mod manager again and now it seems to work

When Volo gives you his "special" surgery, the replacement he gives you has these little metal bits surrounding it. But, in game, they are pretty much unseen, which makes it look like just a normal eye. Depending on you other eye choices (or if you've become partial-illithid), I've felt this can make your actual normal eye seem like the weird one. What I'd like is some alternate textures for this eye to make it properly weird: like a gem; a glowing orb; or, heck, maybe even a Terminator eye!

I plan on avoiding the in game mod manager (unless I am proven wrong), because it was a disaster with Bethesda games. I imagine Vortex will need an update, though.

hey folks! there's a spell in-game with one of my dear friends' deadname on it, and obviously it makes them pretty uncomfortable. i'd like to be able to make a mod to just replace the name on it for them, but i have.. literally never modded any game in my life & i have no idea where to start. i figure with patch 7's modding toolkit just coming out, now would be a good time to ask for some resources!

Assuming this is a similar situation to the one I'm in as this happened to me after the Patch 7 update. Larian announced on Twitter that they still have a Patch 6 beta available: After deleting modsettings.lsx and redownloading BG3MM, I can now access my mods again in Patch 6 beta, so my goal is to try to create save files with mods disabled so that I can access save files that previously I couldn't due to mods in Patch 7. If anyone has a clue if/how that would be possible, please let me know!

@CuxNexus For the moment you can revert the update to use the previous one, at least from steam: library-> right click on bg3 -> properties -> betas select patch 6

My issues are similar. Old beta menu/loading pages. Have to load save twice. Warns me about 3rd party mods, duplicates some of them. FPS is totally messed up... unplayable for the most part.

I just think it would be neat for minsc to have boo be more incorporated into his playstyle. If anybody would be willing to make this or tell me how to mod this, it'd be pretty cool.

Same here. The voice actors playing the game who went to Dragoncon are going to be in for a surprise when they try to resume playing lol. Only kidding. But Jen the shadowheart va and her partner might not be pleased . If this depends on modders updating their mods we likely won't get them all updated as some either have moved on or won't be inclined to do it. Someone will come up with a list of mods that still work and it may be we have to upload those mods in the Larian mod manager and start over . That might be the only solution. I will monitor the reddit and see what others say who are trying to come up with a fix.

Yeah well... my entire playthrough is f°°°°d now, isn't it? Appart from mods not working anymore... do you also get the 'Early Acess' starting menu instead of the Fullrelease version one? This is insane. It feels like they messed up big time with this one and now I have no choice but to wait until they fix it. I cannot even access the game anymore. The loader brings me to some kind of deadend version that cannot load my old safes, not start a new playthrough and exiting isn't even possible.

I had the same issue and was advised to uninstall BG3MM, delete "modsettings.lsx" from AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public, and then reinstall BG3MM and that worked for me!

i deleted everything for this patch, so it's all a fresh installation

hello, i'm whip fan in DnD and it's annoying to don't have one or more in bg3... if any modder can add this weapon, for an easy way there is Thorn Whip spell for the animation, but if someone talented can add the drow nine heads whip and all the other my drow and succubus will be pleased. With the Party limit begone mod I would like to be able to have more than 4 characters playing silmutaneously. Thank you

you could just not play them. lol dragonborn are a real thing here, sorta like Cathar are in star wars.

A mod which puts normal heads or tiefling heads on dragonborn... They're too weird for me to enjoy playing as but i want to try their racial traits
