Hello, I am new to Mechwarrior 5 on PC. I have been playing MW5 on Playstation 4 for over 4 years now and decided i want to go to pc version for adding mods. I am looking for a good visual setup for my pc. My current system i am running: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950x 16 core 4.5GHz GPU: ASUS/AMD Radeon 7700xt 12GB GDDR6 Motherboard: ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero X570 RAM: DDR4 3600 128GB Performance at max quality visuals with max draw distance, etc.. for this game will not be an issue. with my current oled monitor the FPS averages between 110 to 180. at times i have to turn it down as it sometimes is too high. I am also looking at recommended load orders. i have a MOD LOAD editor i use and just looking to see best setup. I typically load game overhauls first (i.e. mod options, YAML. YAW...), second game changes and additions (vonBiomes, PGinfantry, coyote missions...), visual changes, new items then patches and game balance. Any suggestions to mods for visuals to use and if i should look differently at load order would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I need to edit the Name and Short Name parameters at runtime with a blueprint. Unfortunately, the developers have set these to constant, so I have to force the edit by breaking the weapon data assets, then re-making them with the new Names and Short Names. Neither Break <type> Weapon Data or Make <type> Weapon Data show the relevant parameters or their parent category, Display. What’s going on here? Did they create nodes that can’t actually do their jobs? How do I make a weapon data asset if I can’t provide all parameters?

I cannot find any mod that runs on my version of the game. Brand new install, all addon packs. Is the GoG version not supported? The mods show up in the mod box, can be activated, but either do not load or cause game problems. Thanks for any help.

I'm trying to set up a new type of Armor in a mod I'm creating. The base guide does absolutely nothing to help in this manner, as all it does is tell you how to create a new version of an old piece of equipment, and there seems to only be Standard Armor available in the Mercenaries 5, because I can't find any other Armor in the system. That must mean that I must create the idea for Armor in the system, but the guide really doesn't help much in that regard. I tried loading the YAML mod in to it to borrow off of, but it's asking how to load it, and I have no idea how to define it. So, any suggestions on how to set up new Armors in the editor, or where to look for a guide on it? Edit: Hooked up with the YAML people, and they were helpful in setting it up.

Greetings, Each window in the settings/Options area, Gameplay, Display, Graphics, Sound, and Controls has an "apply" button on the bottom of each window. - You'll need to select that on each window to alter or change any default setting. - Some elements may need a game restart to be adapted, game will tell you if that's needed. upgrading from a 1060 graph card to a 3060 card

Greetings, If you were to upgrade the card, you would move to Dx12 system. Lots more video processing power and VRam, I have that card. ( Zotac 3060 twin edge OC, 12Gb ) Your running through the HDMI ports on the Tv I'll assume, and the TV is capped at 60Hz for a 1920 x 1080 resolution (16:9) - with an upgrade, you'll also get better drivers from Nvidia for the card. (many more options and features) - The Tv pixel pitch is set, so sharpness of image is what your sending it. ( Side note: is your Tv the V version?) V version runs a 3840 x 2160 resolution with active pixel tuning. - With the upgraded card you may be able to push the screen size (Displayed resolution) higher and still have the processing power to display it. (screen image gets wider, sometimes taller and sharper.) I run 5760 x 1080, but that's on 3 monitors, so I actually have real side windows in game. Again you may be able to push your resolution. Night vision does not work

Greetings, There are a few Mods that change the night vision effect. In game, open the options section, under mods look down the different mods to find which one is overriding the night vision. It's just a check box to use the mod's night vision or not. Hope that helps some. -

Hello all, noob situation here: I'm new to this game and just dipping my toes into mods, and hit that point where conflicts have become an issue. I'm curious if there is some optimization I can make to fix this (since I really don't know how to use the LoadOrderManager yet), or if it's simply a situation where I cannot use some of these mods together. 10/25/23 8:35 PM EST update renders these mods inoperable. The game doesn't "see" them in the mods folder so they can't be activated. Other mods are working. Upsetting _ YAML was the best!

I have been playing both MW5 & MWLL for a bit, but I really enjoy going through a entire multiplayer campaign with friends. If possible I would love a mod that allows the player to purchase Tanks, Hover Tanks, and VTOLs as well as mechs to add to their lance. These could act as a gap filler for tonnage, cheap replacement, or whatever. With mods like Scary Tanks, tankers and VTOL pilots would stand more of a chance. Mostly suggesting this because I want to see a game like MW5 with inclusion of all playable BattleTech vehicles, not just the mechs.

Salvage true value mod request

Everytime i come to the salvage menu ill have mechs n stuff showing their value at 8mil/ 3mil/ or 1mil etc but then the immediate sale value is more like 2mil/900k/and 200k which is annoying the piss outta me. i dont want to know the value of the mech if it were on the market in perfect condition....i wanna know what this damaged mech is worth up front as is as that info is more valuable to me. Can someone change this or is it hard coded in some way? -

Is there any mod, I might have missed, that will re-name the Mech's? I have searched a little bit, but I havn't found. I have used to save the loadout, but it still doesn't re name the mech. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. !

Hello Mechwarriors!, I have a 1060 super graphics card and ,(Ithink) it works pretty well with most of the settings set to max. I was wondering if a GTX3060 12gb card would make the graphics better. I am using a 43" visio TV as a monitor. Love the game, been playing with different mods having a ball. Just wondering if a 400$ investment would be worth the Xtra sharpness. Thanks in advance.

The Night vision does not work in game on the Mechs. I have tried re-mapping the controls and it changes nothing. I have tried the NV mod on the Nexus site and it still does not work. What gives? I cant see S..t in half these maps.

I use Mods, and they killd my Aim Assistent. After i realise it i try to disable more and more Mods untile i try a new Carrier on Vanilla. I had to ReInstall the whole game to get the Aim Assi back. Can a Disabled Mod still break the Game? and What Mod could do this?
