There she goes! 😍 Yesterday our iconic 1st #A380 took to the skies, delighting fans far and wide. After months of preparation, system upgrades and the renewal of its test installations, our teams kicked off a series of flight test activities this week. These tests enable the certification of all the latest developments that keep the A380 in-service fleet flying at the highest standards of safety and reliability. Thank you #TeamAirbus! ✈️

Welcome to the Family! ✈️ One of the world's leading lessors Jackson Square Aviation has placed an order for 50 #A320neo, becoming a brand new Airbus customer. Delivering 50% less noise, 20% reduced fuel and CO₂ emissions, the leading single-aisle family will support the lessor's mission to provide airlines with more efficient fleet solutions while maximising passenger comfort with its beautiful #AirspaceCabin.

✈️ CO2 isn’t the only thing emitted during flight. Non-CO2 emissions like NOx and soot also come out of aircraft engines, and can contribute to the formation of #contrails, which can have a warming effect on the atmosphere. To limit the formation of contrails, Airbus is researching flight trajectory optimisation and alternative fuels. An Xtra special year!
