Battri is pleased to announce the launch of our first lithium-ion battery recycling facility, with an annual treatment capacity of 30,000 tons of lithium-ion batteries, equivalent to recycling up to 80,000 electric vehicle batteries per year. The facility will be located in the Hauts-de-France, which is the heart of the ‘Battery Valley,’ near some of the largest Gigafactories (battery manufacturing plants) in Europe. The recent €10m fundraise allows us to scale our operations from pilot phase, to full scale industrialisation of our battery recycling business. With the exponential growth of electric vehicles in Europe, recycling capacity is set to increase tenfold to 1.5 million tonnes per year within the next 10 years. This is the first step in our journey to help close the loop in the European battery recycling ecosystem.   To know more: Battri Press Release (https://lnkd.in/enPSvz6s) Battri passe à la phase d’industrialisation de son procédé de recyclage des batteries lithium-ion grâce à sa levée de fonds, et inaugurera sa première usine de traitement au cœur de la “vallée de la batterie”, à Saint-Laurent Blangy, dans les Hauts-de-France, avant la fin de l’année. Cette levée de fonds de 10 millions d’euros permettra d'accroître les capacités de l’Europe en matière de recyclage de batteries lithium-ion. Avec, notamment, le développement exponentiel des véhicules électriques en Europe, les capacités de recyclage nécessaires devraient être multipliées par 10 pour atteindre 1,5 million de tonnes par an, d’ici 10 ans. Dans ce marché, Battri, qui assure les premières étapes, essentielles, du processus de recyclage - celles dite de pré-traitement - entend être l’un des acteurs majeurs en Europe, et proposer une black mass de qualité.
