BioHive pitches again, this time on home turf! BioHive had the pleasure of attending the Partnering Week yesterday, this time on home turf with Genopole, the heart of the Parisian biotech innovation ecosystem. It was a fantastic opportunity to pitch our technology surrounded by familiar faces from our fellow Genopole startups and to make some truly inspiring new connections. The Paris region continues to show its dynamism, with programs like Shaker and Gene.iO proving their worth. Kudos to Genopole for their visionary leadership, highlighted by the exciting announcement of the Scale Up Program, which promises to further accelerate our growth and that of other startups in the cluster. BioHive had the pleasure of attending the Life Science Investor Day in Heidelberg, a fantastic opportunity to connect with the European VC ecosystem and discover promising startup projects. We were also honored to be selected to pitch our vision and our pathological skin organoid models, a high-potential technology aimed at accelerating advances in dermatology and beyond. A big thank you Daniela Weber to for the excellent organization and to Christophe Tallec for his valuable support, as well as to all participants for the inspiring discussions. 💫 BioHive a marqué son premier passage à l’AFSSI Connexions 💫 Mon associée Cécile, experte en organoïdes, a été invitée à rejoindre un panel d’experts lors de la table ronde intitulée “Nouvelles stratégies thérapeutiques : Quels défis et impacts sur les étapes de R&D préclinique ?” aux côtés de Coralie Dorard, Philippe BECHAUD, Marwan TOUATI et Olivier Loget. Cette session a également bénéficié de la participation d’Anne Jouvenceau-Bester, Coordinatrice à l’Agence de l’Innovation en Santé, John DE VOS, Président de la FSSCR, Stephane Maddens, PDG de Vetbiobank et Sophie Binay, CSO d’Acticor Biotech, avec la modération de l'excellent Pierre-Olivier Boyer, Directeur de PTC Therapeutics France. L’événement a été une occasion unique d’explorer l’approche passionnante de John DE VOS concernant l’utilisation des organoïdes pour les thérapies cellulaires et géniques. En plus de cette thématique de pointe, la table ronde a permis de belles discussion, allant des défis analytiques et bioanalytiques aux enjeux de contrôle de qualité, des questions réglementaires à l’accès au marché en passant par l’impact de la digitalisation par l'IA. Cette rencontre nous a offert une perspective enrichissante sur les avancées actuelles et les défis à venir dans le domaine des biotechnologies et de la R&D préclinique. Un chaleureux remerciement à Nicolas Demoures et Yohan Grosjean pour leur invitation et l’organisation impeccable de cet événement. Cher réseau, Après avoir obtenu un doctorat en pharmacie, un master en management des biotechnologies, et passé deux années en business development chez Posos, j'étais impatient de vous raconter la suite. C'est avec une immense joie que je vous annonce mon rôle de co-fondateur et COO chez BioHive, qui a débuté il y a quelques mois maintenant. Le projet, avec Cécile NAIT MEDDOUR - PhD, est de soutenir les industriels dans la réduction de leurs coûts de R&D et dans la minimisation des risques d'échecs des phases cliniques. BioHive est la première entreprise à offrir une solution complète aux laboratoires pharmaceutiques et dermo-cosmétiques pour l'évaluation de composés avec une technologie innovante basée sur les organoïdes et les cellules souches. Située au Genopole, c'est le début d'une aventure très prometteuse. J'en profite pour remercier toutes les personnes avec qui j'ai pu échanger, ainsi que les chargés d'affaires et les partenaires avec qui nous collaborons et qui contribuent quotidiennement à l'avancement de notre projet. Un grand merci à Olivier TOMAT pour son invitation à participer, comme vous pouvez le voir, au Genopole Founders Showcase lors du Hello Tomorrow Summit la semaine dernière, une enrichissante expérience dans le grand bain.
