I’m determined that London will play our part in delivering the UK Government’s number one mission: growth. I was delighted to help open this year’s MIPIM conference in France, where I’ll bang the drum for London and seek investment for major housing projects.

For International Women's Day 2025, Ambassador Menna Rawlings hosted a day of panels and discussions in the Residence.   Eluned Morgan, First Minister of Wales, and Jo Stevens, Secretary of State for Wales participated in the event, highlighting the importance of creating opportunities and incorporating women into the workforce.    Some of our speakers included Bérangère Couillard, Laure Adler, Adrien TAQUET, Sophie Pochic, Pavita Cooper, Philippe Zaouati Abdelaali EL BADAOUI Delphine O Gaia Marcus FRSA, Natacha Quester-Séméon, Haude Rivoal, Rosie Fogden, Dr Gilles Lazimi, Lesley Regan, Catherine Vidal, Diana Dalton, Nicolas Rainaud, Susan Milner, Sarah Ronan and Aurélia Blanc, touching on a range of subjects like breaking the glass ceiling and workplace diversity, disrupting gender norms in health, women's agency in global crises, and balancing motherhood and work.    The British government is accelerating actions to change the lives of working women through its Plan for Change. This means providing greater opportunities in the workplace, ensuring the streets are safe, and improving public services for women and their families. By focusing on these outcomes, the UK government is set to improve women’s living standards and grow the economy.    Thank you to all our speakers and guests for making this event impactful.
