IDENTITY
Robert-Jean de Vogüé search for the best terroirs turned into an epic journey. Eventually, his heroic 2CV brought him and Renaud Poirier, CHANDON Argentina first Chief winemaker, to a place near Mendoza: the high, pure land they had dreamed of. Its unique situation and dramatic climate, with its wild seasonal and daily temperature variations, thrilled them. CHANDON Argentina is nested, in Agrelo near Luján de Cuyo, in the Andean foothills, at an elevation of above 1000m.
TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FUTURE
We are committed to securing a more sustainable and socially responsible future, and as our first house, CHANDON Argentina – operating in a rural area where limited means are a daily reality for much of the population – is leading the way. We have put in place several environmental and social initiatives, from art instruction at local schools to basket-weaving from waste plastic.
