Tomorrow the Amsterdam Dance Event kicks off once again, but this time, It’ll be different for me. In the past, I used to take days off to enjoy my passion for music. This year, for the first time, I'm stepping behind the scenes as I aligned my passion with my work. “𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲; 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁” Two weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to be a panelist at the NEW VISIONS For Music & Sound, where we talked about the critical aspects of monitoring and reporting in the music industry. It's amazing to see how technology is revolutionising music monitoring systems. But with this revolution comes complexity, and not everyone is ready to handle the surge of data that those systems produce. Monitoring isn’t just a tech upgrade; it's a fundamental shift towards opening black boxes and supporting a fairer music landscape. The reality is, if you’re not effectively processing data from monitoring systems, linking them to immediate rights computation, you’re likely leaving money on the table. Copyright tracking should no longer be optional, it's where resides the value of your catalog. The festival was a great reminder of the progress we’re making in developing services that are accessible for everyone, not just the tech-savvy few.
