European Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities
À propos
DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) is a research infrastructure that aims to enhance and support digitally-enabled research and teaching across the arts and humanities. DARIAH is a network of people, expertise, information, knowledge, content, methods, tools and technologies from its member countries. It develops, maintains and operates an infrastructure in support of ICT-based research practices and sustains researchers in using them to build, analyse and interpret digital resources. By working with communities of practice, DARIAH brings together individual state-of-the-art digital arts and humanities activities and scales their results to a European level. It preserves, provides access to and disseminates research that stems from these collaborations and ensures that best practices, methodological and technical standards are followed. DARIAH was established as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) in August 2014. Currently, DARIAH has 19 Members and several cooperating partners in eight non-member countries.

At the #PALOMERA project’s final conference last week in Ljubljana, Slovenia, SPARC Europe joined partners to share results of the work on #OpenAccess books policy in Europe undertaken over the last two years. 📑 One of those results is PALOMERA’s Recommendations for Open Access Books Policy. These recommendations address 8 groups of stakeholders. Read the overview of those recommendations here: https://lnkd.in/eMcfygvg 🗃️ The PALOMERA Recommendations grew out of an analysis of the 600+ European Open Access policy documents that are collected in the PALOMERA Knowledge Base. This resource is available to all. Explore the Knowlege Base here: https://lnkd.in/eTsiu5Zx 🎤 At the conference, Vanessa hosted a panel discussion between national research funders, research performing organisations, and national open science policymakers on the brand new PALOMERA Recommendations. Engaging discussion ensued around what the panelists considered the most important recommendations, the hardest ones to implement, and where alignment was key. We look forward to sharing more reflections on conference outcomes, the PALOMERA project’s accomplishments and our contribution to them, including the Funder Forum, in the coming weeks.
