How can data transform revenue growth? 📊 On July 1st and 2nd, Decathlon Digital hosted an exhilarating 48-hour hackathon themed "Using Data to Increase Revenue." 👩💻👨💻 Sponsored by our Data & Analytics team, the event brought together over 50 data enthusiasts, developers, and business strategists from various regions. Kerem Tomak, Chief Data & Analytics Officer, kicked off the event with a presentation on the critical role of data. Participants formed teams to develop innovative solutions, ranging from AI-driven analytics to predictive modeling platforms. 💡 The hackathon showcased the transformative power of data in driving revenue and also served as a networking platform, fostering new connections among team members. 🔥 While the Olympic flame passed through Lille on July 2nd, we at Decathlon Digital seized this moment to launch our own sporting challenge—the Digital Flame Relay. From June 24th to July 7th, this initiative aimed to connect our digital offices through a unique relay event. Initiated by Rémi Guyon and Maria Ferreira, Facility Managers at Decathlon Digital, the aim of the challenge was to cover as many kilometers as possible through different sporting activities in teams of 5. To track these kilometers, Rémi worked with Nancy Huet, Advanced Data Analyst to create a special dashboard on the Decathlon Coach app, ensuring that we used our internal tools to track the challenge. With 45 teams and over 1,336 sports sessions in 25 different sports, our teams collectively covered an impressive distance of 18,156 kilometers, equivalent to the distance of 5 "Tour de France" 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ with the best team covering a distance of 2,376 km.
