Understanding, training and innovating to put the energy transition at the service of climate mitigation.

À propos

The objective of the Energy4Climate (E4C) center is to tackle the challenges of the energy transition through a collective approach by gathering 21 labs from Institut Polytechnique de Paris and 5 associated labs from Ecole des Ponts-ParisTech. The multi-actor diverse expertise domains support a world-level ambitious research program and offer a unique international interdisciplinary energy education track . International attractiveness relies on US- style Master of Science and Technology program and 5-year energy PhD track to keep at early stage the best students to support the research project. E4C also includes a specific Master of Science in Energy, extending the interdisciplinary scope of existing pathways. Interactions with other international students and world-class professors build on summer schools on energy. The education offer includes unique immersive hands-on projects using the research infrastructures. E4C links students to the socio-economic world through strong industry involvement in the education program, access to executive training for selected PhD with a mature professional project, and access to the alumni network through breakfast meetings to facilitate job access, all to boost employability. Innovation is also considered thanks to an energy entrepreneurship track proposed for masters and PhD who want to create a start-up.
