Interdisciplinary Course on Antibiotics and Resistance (ICARe) a republié ceci
On Day 2 of the AMR Conference 2025, our colleague Sina Gerbach will be moderating the session, "Making the Most of External Expertise." This session will explore how innovators can leverage external support to tackle challenges beyond their expertise. We’re thrilled to announce an exceptional lineup of speakers: - Patrice Courvalin will share insights on how the Interdisciplinary Course on Antibiotics and Resistance (ICARe) is training the next generation of AMR researchers; - Taslimarif Saiyed, PhD will discuss how the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) enables access to cutting-edge technology platforms; - Richard Alm will delve into how CARB-X assists its awardees in overcoming technical and strategic hurdles; - Astrid Pentz-Murr will highlight the achievements of Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP)’s REVIVE network in connecting experts to drive progress. And we want to hear from you! Take this survey to share your thoughts: the results will be discussed during the session ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eheEQ_Nq Looking forward to an engaging discussion and to seeing you in Basel!
Here is the next update on the high-level panels at the AMR Conference 2025: "Making the most of external expertise": In its Political Declaration, the #UNGA2024 noted “with concern that the lack of investment, poor professional incentives and declining employment opportunities, amongst other factors, are leading to an increasing number of researchers leaving the field of antimicrobial resistance research, resulting in a loss of vital scientific and research talent and a drain on invaluable and much-needed knowledge and expertise”. This is indeed an increasingly pressing problem facing #AMR innovators. How could we retain expertise, make it grow and more accessible? In the session moderated by Sina Gerbach, INCATE, we will take a look at the options available to those innovators who need a helping hand outside their field of expertise. 👉 Patrice Courvalin will present how the Interdisciplinary Course on Antibiotics and Resistance (ICARe) helps train the next generation of AMR researchers 👉 Taslimarif Saiyed, PhD will explain how Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) facilitate access to state-of-the-art technology platform 👉 Richard Alm will detail how CARB-X supports its awardees when they face a technical challenge or have a strategic need 👉 Astrid Pentz-Murr will explain the purpose and achievements of Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP)’s REVIVE network of experts. To prepare the discussion, we encourage everyone to take the following survey, whose result will be shared during the session: https://lnkd.in/eqcTUY6E Wanna grow your innovation potential?
