Last Wednesday, it was all about #capitalisation at the NWE Secretariat! 💪 Contact Points and Joint Secretariat members gathered in Lille for a full day of exchanges, presentations, and hands-on exercises—all aimed at laying the groundwork for the upcoming capitalisation efforts. ❓ But what is capitalisation for the 21-27 NWE Programme? Three main pillars define our strategy: 📖 Telling the story of the NWE projects and Programme ⭐ Building on successful projects to extend their results 🖧 Creating connections and fostering synergies between projects and across Programmes 💬After reflecting on past experiences and getting insights from the Programme’s impact evaluation and recent Post27 consultation, participants explored project achievements up to now and discussed key capitalisation activities for 2025-2026. 🚀 Stay tuned as we put ideas into action! #transnationalcooperation #interreg #workshop

This week, the Interreg NWE Programme had the pleasure of welcoming the 𝟐𝟓 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝟒 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 to the Approved Project Seminar in Lille! As they embark on their 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, project partners joined us—both on-site and online—to dive into key topics: 📌 Navigating the Programme’s monitoring system 📌 Understanding financial rules & eligibility 📌 Exploring communication requirements Beyond the presentations, this event was also about 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠—meeting fellow project partners, exchanging ideas, and kickstarting collaborations that will shape the future of North-West Europe. 🙌 Welcome to the NWE community! 🚀 #cooperation #event #nwecall4

✈️ 🚗 🌍 From aircrafts to cars and wind turbines, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬—like fiberglass and carbon fiber—are everywhere. Their strength and lightness make them invaluable, but once bonded, they’re nearly impossible to separate, making repair and recycling a major challenge. By 2050, composite waste is expected to reach 𝟔𝟖𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬 per year. 💡 The #InterregNWE 𝐁𝐢𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐀 project is tackling this issue by aiming to develop 𝐛𝐢𝐨-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 that enable on-demand detachment, allowing composite parts to be repaired and reused instead of discarded. 🔎 Want to learn more?
