Pioneer in the natural polymer field, Lactips develops, produces and commercializes a plastic without plastic, 100% biobased, totally biodegradable in all environments, and water soluble. Thanks to their unique properties, Lactips’ products are ideally positionned to meet the environmental challenges of the packaging and labeling markets, as well as for all products related to the agricultural world and outdoor sports.
Founded in 2014 based on the research work carried out by Frederic Prochazka, PhD, professor-researcher at the University of Saint-Etienne (UMR CNRS 5223), Lactips operated a major transition from a start-up to an industrial SME in 2022, materialized by the opening of its first 4200m² production unit, as well as the arrival of Alexis von Tschammer as CEO, and Bertrand Dupeyroux as VP Sales & Marketing. Lactips employs today 50 people supported by a highly experienced management team.
Lactips, a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, has received numerous recognitions demonstrating its promising impact on society and the environment: French Tech Green20, GreenTech Innovation label, "1000 Efficient Solutions" label from the Solar Impulse Foundation, INPI (France) and WIPO (Global) for its intellectual property.
