Yesterday, we marked a historic milestone for Boortmalt.
Our company celebrated its 100th Anniversary in the iconic Handelsbeurs Antwerpen alongside 400 guests, including diplomatic figures, partners, customers, and current and retired employees.
The event paid tribute to Boortmalt's history, from its original hometown of Boortmeerbeek and other family malthouses to its modern state-of-the-art malting plants across the globe.
In a theatre play, a musical performance, and through the speeches of AXEREAL chairman Jean-François Loiseau and Boortmalt CEO Yvan Schaepman, various aspects of our company's history were shared and remembered, including the story of the initial founder of Boortmeerbeek (at the roots of Boortmalt), Charles Hubert Thirionnet, the growth of Boortmalt across five continents, and the changes of our company's values over time.
The participants of this historic moment shared abundant joy, memories, and emotions.
