Sourcing Benzoin Siam in Vietnam   Deep in the forests of northern Vietnam, a majestic tree called Styrax tonkinensis produces a unique resin known as benzoin. Here, we visited with our long-standing benzoin supplier, who showed us how they grew, harvested and prepared this ingredient.   The benzoin supply chain is an important driver of the local economy. Alongside its partner, MANE spearheaded efforts to help restore this value chain in Vietnam which benefits 500 local residents today. We are deeply grateful to our partner and their employees for their hard work and dedication in providing us with such high-quality resin.   Once the benzoin arrives at our workshop in Le Bar-sur-Loup, our teams transform this ingredient into Benzoin PURE JUNGLE ESSENCE™. This compound has a rich profile with fruity, ambery, gourmand and balsamic facets that delight perfumers, including Han Nguyen, our Vietnam-based perfumer.
