[🌎 Wrapping Up the HAC N&P 30x30 Matchmaking at COP16 Colombia: Celebrating Milestones and New Paths Forward! 🌿] Today, we concluded an inspiring series of matchmaking events hosted by the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People (HAC N&P) and co-organized by NatureXpairs at COP16, during a dedicated side-event of UN Biodiversity 💎. 🏔 Highlights from the Week: ◾ In over five regional matchmaking sessions, countries and technical partners came together to address challenges and identify collaboration opportunities toward reaching the #Target3 of the #KMGBF. These sessions unlocked several new avenues for cooperative action. ◾ First Matches Realized: During the week, two new matches were achieved, including one by Nature Conserv Action (NCA), member of the French HAC N&P Working Group, for practical support in integrating local communities in research projects of Liberia—a testament to the platform’s impact. 🎉 Closing Event Achievements: ◾ High-level representatives from five HAC N&P members countries discussed their experiences and the lessons learned in forming partnerships to support #30x30 implementation. ◾ Roundtable on Operationalization: Experts and partners such as the Global Environment Facility and Rainforest Trust examined key steps for moving from initial matches to effective action, setting the stage for practical, scalable solutions to biodiversity challenges. 👉 The HAC 30x30 Matchmaking Platform is already fostering real-world results, and with today’s discussion, we’re motivated to deepen these partnerships for lasting change. [🌎 France’s First Match on the HAC N&P Technical assistance platform: Supporting Liberia’s Community Conservation Efforts at COP16! ] We are proud to share that France 🇫🇷 , trhough the expertise of one of the members of the French Working Group on the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People : Nature Conserv Action (NCA), achieved its first successful match with #Liberia at COP16 Colombia ! 📯 Facilitated by NatureXpairs and the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People Secretariat, this marks a significant step in fostering international cooperation for reaching the #Target3 of the #KMGBF. 🐍 In this exchange, NCA shared technical expertise with Liberia’s delegation, including innovative tools and participatory methods developed to engage Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (#IPLCs) in conservation efforts. These tools offer solutions for tackling human-wildlife conflict in protected areas—an important focus for Liberia, where large mammals like elephants often cross paths with local communities. 🤝 This match serves as a meaningful first step toward deeper, on-the-ground collaborations to empower communities and conserve biodiversity.
