A new and low-carbon way of transportation on our site in Sessa (Italy)!🚛 Let's give a round of applause to our Italian team for their remarkable achievement in implementing a low-carbon transportation mode for the flow between the plant and the local storage warehouse. The truck used is fueled with biodiesel, which replaces standard diesel, reducing our CO2 emissions by at least 80%. It is also important to notice that Biodiesel is produced locally from agricultural waste and can be used in diesel trucks.🍃 This is a significant step in our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint: well done!

🌍 Chargeurs published its 2023 CSR report ♻️ As a part of Chargeurs' Group, we are proud to share our ongoing journey towards sustainability and innovation. In its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, Chargeurs presents notable achievements in reducing environmental impact. If we focus on Novacel's achievements: ✅ At Novacel Cranbury, located in New Jersey in the US, efforts made in relation to production activities resulted in 28% waste reduction. ✅ In Italy, implementing a three-year program involving a number of different technologies reduced the water use/Mm² ratio by 39% between 2020 and 2023. The first phase involved the integration of a water (and energy) recovery system into the design of the new solvent recovery unit. The second major phase involved the implementation of a unit to “clean” the water by passing it over activated carbon for reuse in steam production. The site is seeking to make further progress in future years and is reviewing other innovations. ✅ Last but not least, it is important to note that Novacel remains a leader in the incorporation of post-consumer recycled plastic, working to favor renewable resources and minimize the amount of material used thanks to its Oxygen range of products.
