Facing planetary boundaries overshoot (United Nations/IPCC-IPBES/COP alerts), in the necessary process of "reinvention of our human organization", let's make our songs and our dances resonate with the Universe! For example, a song that could be completely rewritten would be the French national anthem, La Marseillaise: for the example this song is a bloody war song written in 1792 which no longer resonates at all with the extension of Humanism on the planet, nor with the ongoing awareness of the human species who must refocus as an internal species in the balance of a finite biosphere. To kick off the exercise, here is a suggested title, and lyrics for the first verse and chorus: (To sing to the same tune as the Marseillaise so as not to upset the benchmarks too much; likewise with an effort to keep the same rhymes) Be alive Come on all children of Life, Each day's a glory to celebrate! Let's stand tall in the face of tyrannies Always proud to get up again, Peace is the living victory. Can you hear in the countryside the rustle of life that frolics ? It flourishes even in our steps in cities, and now in space! Life won't stop! Our hearts in unison, Let's sing, let's dance! Facing the hardest, Life won't stop! Competent academies in all countries for your own songs, contests to be launched ?! Face au dépassement des limites planétaires (alertes de l'ONU/GIEC-IPBES/COP), dans le processus nécessaire de "réinvention de notre organisation humaine" pour respecter les limites planétaire, que nos chants et nos danses résonnent avec l'Univers ! Par exemple, une chanson qui pourrait être intégralement réécrite serait l'hymne national français, La Marseillaise: pour l'exemple c'est un chant de guerre sanglant écrit en 1792 qui ne résonne plus du tout avec l'extension de l'Humanisme sur la planète, ni avec la prise de conscience en cours de l'espèce humaine qui doit se recentrer en tant qu'espèce intérieure à l'équilibre d'une biosphère finie. Pour lancer l'exercice, voici une proposition de titre et de paroles pour le premier couplet et le refrain: (A chanter sur le même air que la Marseillaise pour s'appuyer sur les repères existant; de même avec un effort pour garder les mêmes rimes) Etre Vivant Allons les enfants de la Vie, Chaque jour est une gloire à fêter ! Restons droit face aux tyrannies Toujours fiers de se relever, La victoire des vivants est la paix. Entendez-vous dans les campagnes le bruissement de la vie qui s'ébat ? Elle foisonne jusque dans nos pas dans les villes, et maintenant dans l’espace ! La vie ne s’arrêtera pas ! Les cœurs à l'unisson, chantons, dansons ! Face au plus dur, La vie ne s’arrêtera pas ! Whatever the way of approaching the question of the origin of living beings (?), today we have no idea of what makes living beings exist, what guarantees the consistency of functioning at the molecular scale, on the scale of a cell, on the scale of a living individual, as well as that of an entire biosphere. From a point of view of physics and analysis of the state of matter (solid/liquid/gaseous phase diagram), our incomprehension of the spontaneous emergence of living beings in matter at the boundary between the three solid, liquid and gaseous states, could lead us to formulate the existence of life as "a singularity of the phase diagram" (the word "singularity" here underlines our ignorance facing this mystery of construction and animation of life in matter, and not a singular property of the Universe). However, the reality of the common nature of life which unites us all, whatever living beings we are (a whale, a salad, a tyrannosaurus, a fly, a vampyroteuthis infernalis, an oyster, a human, an algae or a platypus, ...) is a fact. This common reality of nature could be symbolized by the very first moments of our existence which always passes through this state of a single cell, a single cell from which a complete living being will "self-construct" and come to life (see the concept of autopoiesis defined by Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela, 1972). Even if we have no answer to the origin of the capacity of life to exist and we may never have one, we can see that life functions, and this on cosmic scales... and without the intervention of the human species. In a new context of temperature, pressure, chemical composition (oxygen level, etc.), available food, it seems that a majority of the population will be able to adapt during their lifetime to these new physical conditions, concretely integrating the changes of their environment and transmitting it to their descendants. At the heart of the nucleus of our cells, we would therefore have a true integrator of the environment capable of guaranteeing the sustainability of living beings in numerous physical contexts! Quelle que soit la manière d’aborder la question de l'origine du vivant (?), nous n’avons aujourd’hui aucune idée de ce qui fait que le vivant fonctionne, ce qui garantit la cohérence de fonctionnement aussi bien à l’échelle moléculaire, à l'échelle d’une cellule, à l'échelle d’un individu vivant, qu'à celle de l’ensemble d’une biosphère. D'un point de vue de la physique et de l'analyse de l'état de la matière (diagramme de phase solide/liquide/gazeux), notre incompréhension de l'émergence spontanée d'êtres vivants dans la matière à la frontière entre les trois états solides, liquide et gazeux, pourrait nous amener à formuler l'existence du vivant comme "une singularité du diagramme de phase" (le mot "singularité" souligne ici notre ignorance face à ce mystère de construction et d'animation du vivant dans la matière, et non une propriété singulière de l'Univers). Toutefois, la réalité de nature commune du vivant qui nous réunit tous, quel que soit l'être vivant que nous soyons (une baleine, une salade, un tyrannosaure, une mouche, un vampyroteuthis infernalis, une huitre, un humain, une algue ou un ornithorynque, ...) est un fait. Cette réalité commune de nature pourrait être symbolisée par les tous premiers instants de notre existence qui passe toujours par cet état d'une unique cellule, cellule unique de laquelle va "s'auto-construire" et s'animer un être vivant complet (voir le concept d'autopoïèse défini par Humberto Maturana et Francisco Varela, 1972). Même si nous n'avons pas de réponse sur l'origine de la capacité du vivant à exister et que nous n'en aurons peut-être jamais, nous pouvons constater que le Vivant fonctionne, et ceci sur des échelles cosmiques... et sans l’intervention de l’espèce humaine. Dans un nouveau contexte de température, de pression, de composition chimique (taux d'oxygène,...), de nourriture disponible, il semble qu'une majorité de la population va être capable de s'adapter au cours même de leur vie à ces nouvelles conditions physiques, intégrant concrètement les évolutions de leur environnement et le transmettant à leurs descendants. Au cœur du noyau de nos cellules, nous aurions donc un véritable intégrateur de l'environnement capable de garantir la pérennité des êtres vivants dans de nombreux contextes physiques !
