We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Fenn O'Meally ! The elegance and vulnerability that Fenn O’Meally’s films and photography capture originate from her desire to connect human to human with the individual/s on the other side of the lens. There is a love for sharing the tender, raw and honest anecdotes of human life at the core of her work. Born in Birmingham and of Jamaican heritage, for Fenn the camera is a way to explore and study human stories, many of which observe her Caribbean roots. With a background of dance, the movement in her visuals see her lean on her early childhood love of movement and music. She has directed films for some of the world’s leading brands including; Nike, Burberry, Byredo, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior and Prada among many others, and worked with some of the World’s most exciting artists, including Jorja Smith, Letitia Write, Sampha and Spike Lee. Her recent works include documenting Kendrick Lamar’s The Big Steppers Tour as well as Little Simz documentary premiered during a boundary-breaking exhibition at the Tate Modern, curated by Simz herself. In addition to being selected for the class of Young Guns 18 and winning a YDA for her music video “Us in Major” for JNR Williams, Fenn was named the Ad Age Creativity Awards 2021 Director to Watch. She is known as a standout talent, bringing a fresh and original voice to the world of film and photography.

L'UPC PUB annonce la création d'une plateforme pour réguler et encadrer les appels d'offre dans CB NEWS. Il est nécessaire de rendre notre secteur plus transparent pour améliorer les rapports entre les annonceurs, les agences et les producteurs indépendants ! Extrait de l'article de Véronique Richebois : "Quelques jours avant le lancement des Cannes Lions, le Festival international de la créativité, la tension est incandescente entre les sociétés de production publicitaire indépendantes, dominées par une douzaine de grandes structures à l'image d'ICONOCLAST, DIVISION, Quad, Groupe Première Heure, Paris, PHANTASM, La Pac, WANDA, Caviar, HENRY, Colors, Big Company, SOLAB PICTURES, Diplomats… et les sociétés de production intégrées à de grands groupes de communication telles que - entre autres - Prodigious (Publicis), leader du marché, General Pop (Havas), Else (TBWA)… Les premières proposent en effet aux secondes un « outil de régulation » des appels d'offres destiné, selon elles, à offrir plus de transparence et d'équité. À charge pour les secondes d'accepter - ou non - ces nouvelles règles sur un marché de la production publicitaire à la fois excité et bousculé par l'irruption de l'IA, mis sous pression par le nombre exponentiel de contenus à produire et l'arrivée de nouveaux entrants bien déterminés à se tailler une place de choix sur un secteur en pleine redéfinition. [...] UNE PLATEFORME POUR LES APPELS D'OFFRES « Agences juges et partie », « concurrence déloyale », « compétitions faussées, perdues d'avance », « concentration économique »... Les mots employés par les différents producteurs sont très durs. Et c'est un refus qu'essuient les agences indépendantes. Le bras de fer se poursuit. [...] C'est dans ce contexte tendu que début juin, l'Union des producteurs de cinéma et de contenus publicitaires (UPC), syndicat du secteur, réitère sa proposition, afin de sortir d'une « situation inextricable », selon les termes de Xavier Prieur, son délégué général. Par la voix de Florence JACOB, présidente du collège publicité de l'UPC et de la Fédération européenne des producteurs de films publicitaires, et par ailleurs dirigeante de la société de production Caviar, l'UPC propose alors de « mettre en place un outil de régulation [...] Nos adhérents français mais aussi européens nous ont sollicités en masse afin que des solutions de régulations immédiates soient mises en place pour assurer la transparence des appels d'offres mixtes qui deviennent dorénavant très fréquents. Ainsi nous avons imaginé une plateforme pour les appels d'offres, comme celle que certains annonceurs de renom utilisent déjà. Cette plateforme permettrait un dépôt confidentiel de certains documents (note d'intention, devis, bande réalisateur, contrat de production...) avec une date limite au-delà de laquelle les documents ne peuvent plus être déposés. » "
