🌎 Flashback about our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Let’s Do It Fair!” 🎉
After months of preparation and development, finally implementing and facilitating this youth exchange has been a moment of deep fulfillment and immense gratitude.
"Let’s Do It Fair!" brought together active young participants from France, Réunion Island, Greece, Poland, and Italy to explore global trade inequalities, climate challenges, and sustainable solutions through the lens of fair trade principles.
This project was a vibrant exchange of ideas, cultures, and visions for a better world. Using non-formal education methods, we empowered participants to develop critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and intercultural collaboration. Together, we explored fair trade’s role in addressing climate change and global inequalities while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Some of the highlights of our program:
💭 Collective intelligence workshops such as Climate Fresk, fostering collaborative learning and problem-solving.
🎭 Creative activities including working groups, brainstorming sessions, and theater-based exercises to encourage self-expression and innovative thinking.
🏚️ A visit to PSI and its socio-cultural center Espace Sango - Centre Socio-Culturel Perpignan Our local social economy organization, to explore local and international solidarity and sustainable practices in action.
👨🌾Meetings and exchanges with fair trade practitioners, including:
Mickael Hountondji from the south of France, founder of @Palmethic.
A cacao fair trade producer from Peru, representing Cooperativa Norandino, facilitated through our collaboration with Fédération Artisans du Monde.
🏫 Workshop design and facilitation for the local alternative school, École Les Lucioles, to inspire the next generation.
🎙️ Interviews with a local radio TAKE IT RADIO station, sharing the project’s impact and raising awareness within the broader community.
Every activity, discussion, and moment of collaboration reminded us of the power of community and shared purpose in building a more equitable and sustainable future.
