Qarnot is a french company, incorporated in 2010, providing its clients with a unique solution to drastically reduce their carbon footprint linked to their digital activities. Instead of concentrating servers in datacenters, our strategy relies on a computing power infrastructure distributed in buildings (offices, housings, public facilities, factories, warehouses) where huge amounts of heat generated by IT servers can be locally and directly valued. This alternative way brings a global and important cost, risk and carbon footprint reduction of our clients digital infrastructure compared to the traditional data center approach, especially concerning high performance computing (HPC) matters.     Le rapport Draghi sonne l’alarme : l'Europe doit investir massivement dans l'innovation et la décarbonation Le rapport de Mario Draghi dresse un bilan sévère : l’Europe accuse un écart critique de productivité qui menace directement son autonomie économique, technologique et climatique. Deux priorités se dégagent de ce rapport : 1️⃣ Combler le fossé de l'innovation pour relancer la compétitivité L’écart de productivité entre l’Europe et les États-Unis s’explique en grande partie par le retard technologique de l’UE dans des secteurs clés comme le cloud et l’IA. Avec 65 % du marché mondial du cloud dominé par trois acteurs américains, la souveraineté numérique européenne est menacée. Pour rattraper son retard, l'Europe doit investir massivement dans l'innovation et développer des champions technologiques capables de rivaliser dans des secteurs critiques comme le HPC et l'IA générative. 💡 Une opportunité : le calcul haute performance (HPC) Le HPC et les solutions on-premise sont cruciaux pour le développement de l'IA, la modélisation scientifique et l’industrie. Ils offrent à l’Europe une opportunité unique de combler son retard et de se positionner en tant que leader technologique. 2️⃣ Décarbonation et compétitivité : un double enjeu Les coûts énergétiques en Europe, jusqu'à trois fois plus élevés qu'aux États-Unis, freinent sa compétitivité. La décarbonation est une opportunité. En accélérant l’intégration des énergies propres, l’Europe peut non seulement réduire ses coûts, mais aussi renforcer sa souveraineté énergétique tout en répondant aux défis climatiques.
