🏁𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄?🏁 During the 4th round of the French Rally Championship 2024 in the Vosges, our expert Dylan, four-time WRC esports champion by team and 2023 French champion, experienced a unique day where the virtual met the real world. As a passenger alongside five-time French asphalt rally champion Yoann Bonato, Dylan lived a moment that brought the virtual into the real, even just for a day. 🏆 While Yoann had never tested a simulator before, the day highlighted something important: simracing isn’t just a game. Even in the passenger seat, Dylan was able to anticipate every turn, every braking action, just as he would in his simulator. 🚗💨 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹?🎙 In an interview for Canal Plus, Yoann mentioned how surprised he was by how much simulation seems to closely mirror reality. Dylan's ability to predict and understand every maneuver showed just how similar simracing is to real rally driving. 𝗔 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀?👊 For Dylan, simulation plays a key role in mastering anticipation, trajectory management, and acceleration. While the physical sensations differ, simracing gets close enough to real-life experiences that it could become a valuable training tool for rally drivers. Rallying is almost exclusively practiced in competition, and a realistic simulator could potentially fill this gap in training for such a unique sport. ➡️ In the video commentary, discover an exclusive interview with Dylan by the FFSA, where he explains the similarities and differences between virtual and real rallying. #rally #simracing #motorsport

💬𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴!💬 With a new game announced, a company with one of the biggest IP's for sale, there is plenty to cover in today's simracing news! 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗮 𝗘𝗩𝗢: 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺🚀🎮 The reveal of Assetto Corsa EVO, due for early access on PC on January 16, 2025, heralds a major step forward for driving simulation fans. The first (short) official trailer showcased numeros elements demanded by fans, such as a dynamic weather, driving on roads and more. The main challenge for Kunos Simulazioni will be to meet the high expectations of the community while setting itself apart from the competition. By developing a proprietary game engine, the studio intends to offer fluidity and precise adaptation to the specific requirements of car simulation, moving away from more generic game engines. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗧𝟳 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲🏁🔍 On October 3, 2024, Gran Turismo 7 rolls out its 1.52 update, bringing with it a series of new features. The addition of three new vehicles, including the Nissan GT-R (R35) Premium Edition T-Spec 2024 and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR 2004. These additions are not simply content additions, but a reflection of current automotive trends, offering players the opportunity to drive models praised from the past. At the same time, this update enriches the racing experience with new tracks for the GT Sophy AI, enabling more immersive and realistic racing on PlayStation 5. In doing so, GT7 enhances the quality of the offline experience, a crucial aspect for gamers looking for extra challenges. 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲!📉 🏎️ The company owning S397 and Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the WEC, in a recent company statement has shared that it has been given greenlight "to consider strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value, including a potential sale or merger of the Company." Motorsport Games has been struggling for quite some time and refocused its effort on the Le Mans Ultimate title after selling its BTCC, Indycar & NASCAR licences. But the game sales seem to not be enough to sustain the company long term, and more cuts are being made in its workforce. Some rumors are starting to spread out about who would acquire the company and/or some of its assets, but nothing concrete yet. 🚗𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻: “𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲” - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴!🏁 This week, in our series “The simracing lexicon”, we're going to look at one of the most fundamental elements of your simracing setup: the wheelbase. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹🎮 The wheelbase is much more than an accessory. In simracing, it's the direct extension of your feel for the track. It plays a central role in the driving experience, relaying both the sensations and the crucial information that help you control the car. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴🎛️ - 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲: these are the entry level option, but can lack the precision of belt-driven or direct-drive flywheels. - 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝘁-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲: a good compromise for beginners. They offer resistance and minimal force feedback and are not too expensive. - 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲: these are the top-of-the-range models. Here, the steering column is directly connected to the motor, offering incredible precision and highly realistic force feedback, for the most demanding simracers. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹?⚙️ - Immersion🌟 - Performance🎯 - Confort🛠️ 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴🤔 It all depends on your budget, your level of experience and what you're looking for in terms of feel. If you're just starting out, a belt or geared steering wheel will do more than enough to familiarize you with the world of simracing. But if you're ready to invest in an ultra-realistic experience, then direct drive is for you.💪 And you, which steering wheel do you use?🗣️ See you soon for a new term in the simracing lexicon!🚀 #simracing #gaming #wheelbase

Here are the highlights from the competitions: 🏁𝗶𝗥𝗫 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼 - 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝟮 Despite half-hearted qualifying (P13 and P17), Quentin seized every opportunity to make it to the podium. After a perfectly executed catch-up run, he started the final race in P9. Thanks to impeccable strategy and bold driving, he finished in 2nd place, proving once again his ability to overcome adversity and remain competitive even in complex circumstances. 🚗𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 - 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰 𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 (𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆) - 𝗗𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝟯 The return of the French Championship, after a two-month break, promised to be difficult for all competitors. However, Dylan made the most of his rigorous preparation and strategic risk management. By securing 3rd place, he continued to extend his lead in the overall standings, now 97 points ahead of his pursuer. With the next rally, “Terres des Cardabelles,” a victory could seal his second championship title. 💪 No matter the game, we are very proud of our drivers & staff able to extract maximum performance and continue our strikes of podiums in 2024. From Endurance driving, to F1 or Rally driving, Race Clutch Esports team is always aiming for the front of the field! 🏆 #esports #simracing #rally #gaming

Here's a look at the results: - Lenny: P11 ➡️ P8 - Rhys: P4 ➡️ P9 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: Despite tough qualifying and a race full of twists and turns, we felt short to beat Ferrari for the win. 🚗“𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁” - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴!🏁 This week, in our series “The Simracing Lexicon”, we highlight a subtle but frighteningly effective technique often used at high level: the Lift and Coast. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?🎮 Lift and Coast is a piloting technique which consists of releasing the gas pedal before reaching the braking point and “rolling” without accelerating for a short time before braking. This reduces fuel consumption and spares the brakes, while maintaining a competitive speed.🏎️ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?⚡ - 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹: This technique is frequently used to avoid an extra pit stop, particularly in endurance racing. By saving fuel, you extend the duration of your stints and gain precious seconds.⛽ - 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀: By slowing down gradually without braking hard, you reduce the heat generated in your brakes and save your tires from excessive wear. This can make all the difference in long stints.🛞 - 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: Lift and Coast isn't just about consumption: it's also about overall strategy. Knowing how to manage your car over the duration of a race can give you the edge over rivals chasing immediate performance.🎯 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱🌍 In real-world motorsports, the Lift and Coast technique is commonly used, notably in Formula 1, Endurance (WEC) or even IndyCar. Race drivers use it to save fuel as they approach the end of a stint, or to manage brake and tire wear. It can mean the difference between finishing a race or having to stop due to fuel or mechanical failure. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁?🛠️ - Anticipate your turns 📏 - Keep an eye on your competitors🚦 - Play the strategy card ⏱️ Have you noticed any gains at the end of the race thanks to this technique? 🗣️ See you next week for a new term in the simracing lexicon! 🚀 #simracing #gaming #motorsport

🚀𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸: 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵!🏁 Our teams faced tough challenges in several competitions, but bounced back with solid results. A look back at 2 emotionally-charged weeks: 𝗣𝗦𝗚𝗟 𝗘 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 - 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟴) - Rhys: P2 ➡️ P2 - Lenny: P13 ➡️ P3 ⚡Lenny bet big by starting on soft tires, against mediums for his rivals. Thanks to a daring start, he quickly found himself in the battle. Rhys showed his consistency, but close clashes with other teams cost him a few places. We're holding our heads high against Red Bull, who only extended their lead by 15 points, while closing the gap on Ferrari. 𝗶𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝟲𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁🏎️⏱️ For those unfamiliar, iRacing classifies teams into several levels called “splits”, according to their skill level (iRating). Split 1 brings together the best teams, and subsequent splits, such as Split 2, feature slightly less highly-rated teams. Depending on the participants, there can be many splits, highlighting the diversity of talent on the track. ⚪RC White: P5 (split 1) ⚫RC Black: P8 (split 1) 🟣RC Purple : P3 (split 2) 🔵RC Blue : P4 (split 2) 🔧 Despite technical problems for RC Black early in the race, our other teams showed great resilience. RC White impressed with a climb from P10 to P5, thanks to a faultless race and good strategies. Our RC Purple and RC Blue teams also shone in split 2, with results in P3 and P4 respectively. A great moment for team cohesion, even if we still have to work hard to compete with the best. 𝗣𝗦𝗚𝗟 𝗘 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 - 𝗟𝗮𝘀 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀 (𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟵)🎰 Chaos strikes in Las Vegas! After a hectic final lap that knocked both Ferraris out of the running, we scored some precious points. Rhys secured his P2, while Lilian finished P6. With this effort, we also outperformed Red Bull, meaning that the last race will be a title decider between Red Bull, Ferrari & Race Clutch. 💪Very promising weeks and results for Race Clutch, with even more to play for in the coming races! #simracing #motorsport #gaming #racing

🚦“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲”, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲!🏁 This week, in our series “The Simracing Lexicon”, we explore a fundamental aspect for any virtual driver: the Sporting Code. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?📜 The Sporting Code is a set of rules and regulations governing behavior on the track in simracing. It's the equivalent of racing regulations in the real world, designed to ensure fair, respectful and safe competition for all participants. The code covers everything from respecting track limits and overtaking maneuvers to prohibited behavior such as deliberate collisions and abusive blocking. Each simracing platform or league has its own Sporting Code, but the aim is always the same: to guarantee fair play and safety on the track. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?🎮 - 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: the Sporting Code establishes a framework of mutual respect between drivers. It encourages clean racing, where everyone can express themselves without fear of being the victim of dangerous maneuvers.🏎️ - 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: by defining clear rules, the Sporting Code ensures that everyone plays to the same standards. This creates a competitive environment where talent can truly express itself, without being spoiled by unsportsmanlike behavior.⚖️ - 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: as in the real world, safety is paramount. The Sporting Code helps to avoid incidents on the track, whether virtual or otherwise, and ensures that everyone can have fun racing while staying within the limits.🚦 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱🌍 In real-world motorsport, every competition is governed by a strict sporting code, put in place by bodies such as the FIA. These rules are essential for maintaining order and justice on the track, while ensuring driver safety. The Sporting Code in simracing works in the same way: it allows you to compete in a controlled environment, where everyone knows where they stand. What do you think of the Sporting Code?🗣️ See you next week for a new term in the simracing lexicon.🚀 #simracing #sports #rules #motorsport

The launch of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown (TDU SC) was marred by server problems, preventing players from enjoying the game despite their pre-orders. This highlights the limits of the “always online” model, where access to the game depends entirely on server availability. This situation rekindles the debate on the usefulness of guaranteeing offline modes, especially for games whose single-player mode is just as attractive. ♿𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆: 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴  Quatermass Motorsport launches the Para Racers Academy, an innovative initiative aimed at making sim racing accessible to people with disabilities.
