Rare Champagne has chosen the prestigious Maisons Taillevent Paris to celebrate the arrival of Rare millésime 2012, during the Olympic Games in Paris.   In August, Rare millésime 2012 is displayed at the Caves de Taillevent, Saint-Honoré (Paris 8ème) et Victor Hugo (Paris 16ème). In the latest issue of Point de Vue magazine, discover the Résidence Eisenhower, private mansion built in 1911, where Rare Champagne organizes exclusive experiences for its clients. Nestled in the heart of Reims, the Résidence is a place steeped in history and prestige. Recently restored to its former glory, the private mansion has been transformed into an exceptional venue for selected guests. Under the direction of Maud Rabin, Rare Champagne finds a perfect setting in this unique environment. The Residence Eisenhower, with its magnificent 2,500 m² gardens, a unique rose garden and sumptuously decorated interiors, offers the ideal setting for unforgettable tastings. “One of the bedrooms and its adjoining bathroom feature wallpapers and ceramics that were fortunately rediscovered during the renovation,” explains Annelies Pieters, Maîtresse de maison, testifying of the attention paid to restoring every historic detail. The bust of Marie-Antoinette, for whom Florens-Louis Heidsieck had the idea of creating a champagne “worthy of a queen,” found its place on an 18th-century Venetian console. Every detail has been thought out to offer an experience worthy of our exceptional Rare Champagne cuvées. Guests have the opportunity to discover the richness of our Rare history, from the time of Marie-Antoinette to the present day, in a setting where the French Art de Vivre takes pride of place. Following a series of intensive blind tastings by an international panel of experts, wines from four countries were awarded the ultimate honour of a Champion title in the categories of red, white, sparkling, sweet and fortified. For the third year in a row, Rare Champagne has been awarded IWC Champion Sparkling Wine. This year, the prestigious accolade went to its Millésime Magnum 2008, which impressed judges with its “fine glistening fresh acidity and gorgeous pastry cream and hazelnut softness.” Emilien Boutillat, Rare Champagne Cellar Master, was invited to attend and collect the Trophy which rewards his team in the vineyards and oenological committee. Chaque particule de miroir doré, danse et convoque tantôt les bulles de Rare Champagne et les grappes de raisin, tantôt la frénésie des particules solaires. L’œuvre évoque alors la richesse de 𝐑𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞́𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑, sa sophistication organoleptique et son éternelle fraîcheur. Rare Champagne and the Château de Versailles : A Royal and Historic Alliance In 1785, Florens-Louis Heidsieck crafted his very first cuvée with a noble ambition: "𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧." Thus, the marvelous Rare Champagne was born. In 1985, to celebrate the 𝐛𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 of its presentation to Queen Marie-Antoinette, Rare Champagne was created, embodying two centuries of expertise and excellence. To magnify this exceptional creation, the very first bottle of Rare Champagne was sumptuously adorned by the renowned jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels. Last November, Rare Champagne had the honor of participating in the tribute to the Château de Versailles on the occasion of its 400th anniversary, a prestigious event held at the Galerie Aveline. A unique book was produced for this memorable occasion, published in only 400 copies, with two pages entirely dedicated to Rare Champagne. This special recognition highlights and strengthens the historical and cultural ties that unite Rare Champagne with the famous Château de Versailles.
