🏆Last week, the 3 French consortium partners Pôle SAFE, POLE SCS & Systematic Paris-Region won the #AFPC (Association Française des Pôles de Compétitivité) Award "Les Pôles pour l'Europe" in the "Best Collaborative Initiative" category for their joint work on the cluster-led SecurIT project.  This is a great recognition of the impact of the SecurIT project, which has funded and supported 42 SME-led projects across Europe developing innovative digital security solutions for safer and more resilient cities and territories. 👏👏

📣 Eureka Network Call for Disaster Resilience, Response and Recovery Projects This call is for international collaborative R&D and innovation projects focusing on disaster prevention, preparedness and resilience. The call covers two types of disasters : - Man-made : including widespread destruction caused by conflict and war, urban fires and industrial accidents of various kinds. - Natural : including avalanches, floods, extreme cold and heat, drought, earthquakes, storms, volcanic activity and forest fires. 🗓 Deadline : 31 October 2024 🔎 Call information & application : https://lnkd.in/djvZ3JGM

✨ Wrapping up the SecurIT project ✨ As the SecurIT project draws to a close, we're taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey and achievements. SecurIT aimed to fund and support the development of collaborative projects working to prototype, experiment and demonstrate innovative digital security solutions. Over 3 years, the consortium partners provided ongoing mentoring to the funded projects, helped to identify additional funding and created a vibrant network of security stakeholders across Europe. 🔎Zoom on the participants of the SecurIT Awards: OC2 prototype project #WUI_Secure Wildfire is a growing threat to communities and infrastructure near wildland urban interface (WUI) areas. WUI-Secure addresses this by creating a comprehensive modelling tool that combines wildfire behaviour, building vulnerability and risk assessments to help identify the most vulnerable areas within a community during a wildfire event. This sensor autonomously detects people or objects falling or being pushed onto the tracks, triggering immediate train stops and safety alerts.
