The SmartConnect IoT team remains enthused about the recognition and remains excited about the continued partnership and support with Intel Corporation. As an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), our direct collaboration with Intel began during the formative days of the IoT Division, led by the visionary Ted (RIPP), whose presence we greatly miss. Historically, we developed software and engaged with the #x86architecture indirectly through EOMS/ODMs until Ted (RIPP) identified SmartConnect's potential to integrate microprocessors at the network's edge, beyond traditional data centers. The introduction of the "Partner Showcase" program further highlighted this potential, with Bob recognizing and supporting SmartConnect's journey. The "Intel Gold Solutions Partnership" has significantly contributed to our success and growth. The ecosystem of hardware OEMs/ODMs, such as BleuJour and Advantech, along with the software tools and development resources, access to "Intel Solutions Aggregators" and to global distributors, and insightful write-ups on "The latest innovations transforming industries worldwide" by insight.tech, is unparalleled for any ISV. One example of the many instances that the Intel teams have come to bat for us: while we are aware of the resource-intensive nature of #datacenters, the understanding of edge AI development is limited. Prior to the introduction of #AIPCs, our CTO faced significant challenges building a distribution with #OpenVino, which initially took over 28 hours on a high-end machine with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. Subsequent builds reduced to 4-6 hours, but ultimately, the machine failed after about five rebuilds. The local store owner was puzzled by the situation, as there was no sign of burnt components; the motherboard and other parts had simply worn out, leaving only the hard disk intact. Fortunately, TUXEDO Computers GmbH came to our rescue with a powerful Intel Core i9-13000HX machine featuring 24 cores, 64GB of memory, and 1 terabyte of storage, which BleuJour enhanced to 2 terabytes. The run times still remained somewhat sluggish. The "Intel Industry Solution Builders" (https://lnkd.in/dVHNb29) team, an exceptional group, stepped in to assist us with a test bed (https://lnkd.in/dp48C7ws). We are currently putting the test bed through its paces. The support from Intel Corporation remains outstanding—the SmartConnect IoT team expresses much gratitude.
