[New contract] in Germany! After winning contracts for the Stuttgart 21 high-speed line and the B247 federal road, we are pursuing our adventure in Germany with a contract to bury DC power lines as part of the SuedOstLink project. The project will unfold in two stages: ✔ Earthworks and undergrounding of the sleeves spanning approximately 90 km, and construction of the worksite access roads. During this stage, we will enlist expertise from Spiecapag and HDI - HORIZONTAL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL, two VINCI Construction subsidiaries specialised in laying underground pipelines. ✔ Underground access work to lay four 525 kV DC powerlines in the sleeves. The project will supply Bavaria with clean and affordable electricity starting in 2027. 🎉 Well done to all the teams involved in this collective success! Nachdem wir den Zuschlag für die Baustellen der Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke Stuttgart 21 und der Bundesstraße B247 erhalten haben, setzen wir unser Abenteuer in Deutschland mit einem Auftrag zur Erdkabelverlegung von Gleichstromleitung SuedOstLink. Das Projekt wird in zwei Phasen realisiert: ✔ Durchführung von Erdarbeiten und Verlegung von Leerrohren auf einer Länge von fast 90 km sowie der für die Arbeiten notwendigen Zufahrtswege; Für diesen Projektteil greift VINCI Construction GeoInfrastructure auf das Know-how der VINCI Construction-Töchter Spiecapag und HDI - HORIZONTAL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL zurück, die auf die unterirdische Verlegung von Rohrleitungen spezialisiert sind. ✔ Ausführung der Erdarbeiten und der Zufahrtswege für die Verlegung von vier 525-kV-Gleichstromkabeln in den Leerrohren. [Learn about the different trenchless crossing methods – PART 2 🚧] Last week, we asked you if you knew any trenchless crossing methods! And you were right, there are lots of them! Our subsidiary HDI - HORIZONTAL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL is specialized in trenchless drilling. Here are 3 new examples of trenchless crossing methods we might use on our projects: 👉 Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) : is a trenchless construction method used to install pipes underground without disturbing the ground surface. The drill is launched from one end of the designed bore path and retrieved at the other end, and except for the launch and retrieving spaces above ground, the entire process takes place underground, out of sight.   👉 Direct Pipe: combines the above MT and HDD methods Did you know them before❓ #Spiecapag #HDI #TrenchlessCrossingMethods
