🏋🏻♂️ Consolidation of the #fitness club market continues as the market has not fully recovered from covid-19 📉. Three business transactions were announced last week: Nord Holding-backed BestFit Group (🇩🇪) acquires purfitness (🇩🇪). Purfitness is a chain of 5 studios in the Frankfurt region. The clubs will continue to operate under the well-known jumpers fitness brand. The BestFit Group will grow to 128 studios with over 400,000 members and around 2,000 employees. Providence Equity Partners to acquire VivaGym (🇪🇸) from Bridges Fund Management. VivaGym is a leader in the Iberian fitness market, with operates 104 gyms with over 315,000 members across Spain and Portugal. LC Fitness (🇫🇷) raises €14m loan to finance the acquisition of 5 Fitness Park brand clubs. The loan was setting up by a pool of banks: Société Générale, Banque Populaire Rives de Paris, CIC and Bpifrance. LC Fitness controls 23 Fitness Park clubs in France and Spain and has c.69k subscribers. He also runs the Fitness Park master franchise in Spain with 24 franchisees. The 5 sports clubs located in the Paris region add c.30k active subscribers.
