Our first shipment of South African Hass avocados has arrived in China. Expanding into China is a significant moment for Westfalia Fruit, following years of hard work, including a crucial phytosanitary agreement signed in August 2023. The shipment arrived in Shanghai on 8 October 2024. There was a ceremony to showcase this historic arrival, attracting considerable media interest. The photos were taken at the Huizhan Wholesale Market where sales went well on the 10th of October, with fruit also reaching retail supermarkets. A big thank you to Donald Westcott, Neléne Kleynhans, Johan van Eeden, Hans Boyum, Diego Vásquez, and all other AvoExperts involved, who made this happen and contributed to our vision of making Westfalia Fruit avocados available to everyone. #Leadership #Markets #China
