Accountant

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in handling our accounting

processes, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings, and preparing comprehensive financial

reports. They will also have the opportunity to bring their analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills in strategic cross-department projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting:

o Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

o Process and monitor expense reports and reimbursements.

o Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

o Identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement solutions into our

tech stack.

2. Monthly Closing and Reporting:

o Reconcile and analyse account balances to ensure completeness and accuracy.

o Identify and resolve discrepancies and variances in financial data.

o Prepare monthly financial reports for management and stakeholders.

o Assist in the consolidation of international group entities into comprehensive reports.

o Provide insights and analysis on financial performance and variances.

3. Miscellaneous Financial Projects:

o Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

o Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

o Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.

o Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A first experience in accounting or finance is a plus.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Fluency in English and German, other languages would be appreciated.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Precision-oriented mindset and organizational skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, and collaboratively within a team.
