Chère communauté LinkedIn, J'aimerais attirer votre attention sur une excellente initiative : 🔆 Le PSSAR 🔆, soutenue par mon amie, professeure universitaire et titulaire de la chaire de recherche en intelligence artificielle, Dre Loubna Benabbou. Comme vous le savez, nous avons tous assisté à l'effondrement total du système éducatif à Gaza/Palestine. Toutes les universités ont été détruites et de nombreuses écoles ont subi des dommages sévères. Cela devient encore plus déchirant lorsque l'on considère l'importance de l'éducation pour les Palestiniens. Malgré les défis, la Palestine affiche l'un des taux d'alphabétisation les plus élevés au monde. Au-delà de la perte physique des infrastructures éducatives, la région a également été témoin de la perte tragique de centaines de professeurs et d'enseignants, déstabilisant encore davantage le système éducatif à Gaza et, plus largement, en Palestine. La destruction délibérée des universités et des institutions éducatives a considérablement entravé les activités académiques à Gaza. La guerre a entraîné non seulement des pertes en vies humaines, mais aussi la perte d'espoir pour tous les Gazaouis. Reconnaissant les conséquences significatives pour la communauté académique, 🔆 le PSSAR 🔆 lance un appel urgent à l'assistance académique internationale pour contribuer à la reconstruction des opportunités éducatives pour les étudiants et les enseignants à Gaza. Comment aider ? Si vous êtes dans le domaine de l'enseignement universitaire, vous pouvez aider autant les étudiants que les professeurs, veuillez svp consulter le lien explicatif ci-dessous. Sinon, vous pouvez soutenir cette superbe initiative, que ce soit individuellement (contribution financière, don de votre temps), ou au niveau corporatif (don corporatif). One of our thematic area at Build A Child Initiative @baciimpacts is Education. We ensure that everyone especially girls in underserved communities have access to quality education. We recently gave out 70 packs of @kotexnigeria sanitary pads each to 7 different Non governmental organizations in Ekiti State Nigeria to support the work they are doing.By supporting their invaluable work, we aim to address the crucial intersection of education and menstrual health, empowering girls to stay in school and pursue their dreams with dignity. We recognise the fundamental right of every child and young person to education. 🌎 Despite global progress, countless individuals, particularly those without parental care, remain excluded from this essential right, which is undeniably being worsened by the surge of violent conflicts worldwide. On #InternationalDayofEduction, we're proud to reiterate our partnership with SOS Children's Villages UK, an organisation committed to ensuring access to education and training for children and young people in challenging circumstances. Their efforts are crucial in helping these individuals become their strongest selves and realise their full potential. In 2022, generous supporters enabled SOS to raise £8.44m (£7.85m in 2021), supporting various initiatives, including empowering youth through education and skills training. A highlight of these initiatives is the YouthCan Program, which empowers young people by supporting their transition to independence and work. Last year, through this scheme, SOS Children's Villages International reached 14,253 young people in 47 countries globally. SOS Children's Villages UK significantly contributed to YouthCan's global success, providing over £830k in project funding in six countries. In Kimaanya, a small community where the spirit of solidarity and kindness thrived. This is the story of Dream Heart Foundation Uganda (DHEF-UGANDA), a local non-profit organization with a heart as vast as the ocean, which embarked on a mission to ensure every child in the community has access to scholastic materials. Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, DHEF-UGANDA recognized the power of education in transforming lives. DHEF-UGANDA`s journey began when we noticed a group of children who were home playing during school times and it came to our understanding after a short conversion with their parents that they didn`t attend school due to lack of basic scholastic materials that many take for granted. Determined to make a change, Dream Heart Foundation launched a community initiative named "Education Programme Aid" The project aimed not only to provide books but also to equip children with essential learning tools such as notebooks, pencils, and art supplies, fostering a holistic educational experience. DHEF-UGANDA's initiative is igniting community transformation and becoming more than just an initiative; it is a beacon of hope and unity.Through DHEF-UGANDA's unwavering dedication and the community's support, children who once didn`t have access to education have been given school supplies that help them during school times, their minds and hearts open to the endless possibilities that education could offer. DHEF-UGANDA's story is a testament to how the collective efforts of individuals can contribute to achieving global goals, making the world a better place one child at a time. It serves as a reminder that change begins with a single act of kindness, inspiring others to follow suit, creating a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the confines of a small community.
