📝 [ Case Study - Offshore Windfarm] 📝 TenneT is the offshore transmission system operator of the Holland offshore Wind farm. 🤝They trusted METAL DEPLOYE RESISTOR for the manufacture of all the PIR (pre insertion resistors) on HVAC connections for the Noord, West Alpha and West Beta parks of the site. What were the challenges ? - In order to optimize the footprint (common constraint on offshore wind projects), we had to offer tailored solutions ✔️ - With winds 💨 exceeding 150 km/h (90 mph), we worked on reinforcing the frames with an analysis carried out in partnership with external laboratories. A stacked solution was retained. - As the platform is based on the Dutch coast, the sea air is very corrosive. METAL DEPLOYE RESISTOR proposed a stainless steel 316 solution in order to offer the best possible quality to TenneT.
