A month ago, we launched our very first global Circular Economy Week at Symrise AG, and the results were incredible. 🌍💚   Sustainability is deeply embedded in our business model, with circular economy as a key pillar. On the occasion of the International Environment Day, every Symrise site around the world organized circular economy related activities to raise internal awareness and drive meaningful changes. Our Naturals teams embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and creativity. Here are some highlights: ● 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐰𝐚𝐩𝐬 (Rennes, France) - Employees brought and exchanged items to give them a new life, reducing waste and promoting reuse. ● 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 (Pasaje, Ecuador) - Old pallets were transformed by local carpenters into chairs and tables, which were then donated to the Child Development Center near the factory. ● 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 "𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲" 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫 (Silverton, USA) - collaborators could make their own healthy cleaning product using baking soda, vinegar, essential oils and glass bottles ● 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 (Madagascar) - Teams are used to recycle plastic containers into public trash and plastic floats, to build bridges upon rivers and connect villages. They also upcycle dried Vetiver to reuse it in the Vanilla growing process. ● 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨-𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (Villers, France) - Our teams participated in a site cleanup, collecting waste to ensure an eco-friendly environment. ● 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (Buin, Chile) – In addition to a clothes collection, collaborators participated in a recycling competition to engage towards sustainability beyond the professional environment.   We extend our gratitude to all the teams around the world for their dedication.
