Ghost Recon Breakpoint has received some…interesting marketing as of late. A trailer was released last week that might very well be one of the weirdest ones I’ve ever seen for a mainstream shooter of this nature with bizarre cartoons to illustrate the survival aspects of the game. Today, though, we get something very different with a live action trailer that showcases the game’s main foe descending to villainy.

The trailer is called “The Pledge,” and features Jon Bernthal as Cole D. Walker. Walker will be the main antagonist of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, forming the group called The Wolves that you must contend with. Bernthal gives a great performance in this trailer/short that showcases what puts Walker on the path that will lead to his clash with the Ghosts. It’s worth a watch, and actually a great way to utilize the Hollywood talent they cast for the game.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will release October 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and will launch with Stadia. In the meantime, you can check out the game’s Year 1 Roadmap to get an idea of what the post-launch content will look like.
