The client isn't always right. We've learned to push back in the right way. Recently a client’s maintenance crew had their own idea of how to fix the cooling system. They wanted us to replace some old air handlers but keep the outdated chiller in place. The problem was that they were only fixing HALF the system. We told them straight up, that’s not going to get you the reliability you’re expecting. The real bottleneck was the old chiller, but they were resistant. So, we proposed a solution: ground-mounted package units. Self-contained, no other components needed, and 100% reliability. Still, they hesitated. Rather than argue, we priced it both ways - what they wanted and what we suggested. In the end, they went with our idea because it made the most sense. That’s what we pride ourselves on: being innovative enough to find the solutions you actually need, even when it’s not what you initially wanted.
