Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to share a vision with investors for the future of Africa’s experience economy through Ashesi Center for Entrepreneurship. The idea was simple: life-changing growth comes from meaningful experiences. Whether it’s attending an art show, brunch, or traveling, these moments inspire us and shape who we become. Inspiration drives growth, and with the right tools and data, we can transform this untapped space into something truly impactful. By building the infrastructure and adopting a data-driven approach, we can elevate these experiences and help people discover who they’re meant to become. One key takeaway from my discussions with investors was the critical need for data-driven strategies—whether through detailed bookkeeping or understanding consumer behavior. This data will drive investment in a space that currently lacks structure. Also I want to say big thank you Jessica Boifio for the constant encouragement through the Ashesi Venture Incubator Program I’m excited for the future ahead

With approximately 80 student owned businesses on the Ashesi University campus, the Centre for Entrepreneurship hosted a Business Skills Clinic to bring the academic year to a close. Participants had the opportunity to book 15 minute sessions for practical insights and coaching in 4 key areas- Product Pricing, Sales and Marketing, Financial Planning and Supply Chain Management. Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting representatives of University of Münster and the REACH Euregio Startup Center at the Ashesi Center for Entrepreneurship. We explored areas of collaboration for our student entrepreneurs and exchanged ideas on how to enhance the existing programmes for both centers. Engagement with like minded institutions is always refreshing and enlightening and we look forward to the fruition of our discussions.
