Ghana Manganese Company Ltd, in collaboration with TMI, has launched an Employee Exchange Program that aims to foster professional growth, build stronger inter-company relationships, and promote the sharing of best practices. The program is also geared towards enhancing cultural integration and understanding the work ethics of both the parent company (TMI) and GMC.
Ghana Manganese Company Ltd, in collaboration with the Manganese Ladies Association, has marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a breast cancer screening exercise targeting the Kwaminakrom community, one of the company’s catchment communities. The exercise included a sensitization on the symptoms of breast cancer and the significance of early detection through self-examination of the breast regularly. Over 100 participants were screened; distributed among the age brackets of 18-70 years.
A team from Ghana Manganese Company, including Emmanuel Smart Arkoful, Kwasi Asamoah, Israel Wompiah, Anastasia Adimah, Aisha Mohammed, and Madam Ramatu Ali Toure(Project Champion/Coordinator) successfully completed the UN SDG Innovation Accelerator 2024. Together, they developed the Mine Minds Initiative, an innovative project aimed at transforming Ghana’s mining communities. This project addresses socio-economic challenges in Ghana’s mining regions by offering technical training, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable practices to individuals in mining communities. By equipping local communities with skills for employment and business creation, we aim to reduce unemployment, foster sustainable cities, and promote cross-sector partnerships.
