📸 Yesterday, as part of ISSER’s 2-week Short Course in Project Cycle Management, our class had the exciting opportunity to visit Ekumfi Fruit and Juices Ltd in the Ekumfi Abor district, Central Region of #ghana. This Ghanaian company specializes in producing locally made fruit juices, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the trip—it was refreshing, insightful, and highly productive! Experiences like these make the ISSER Short Course an exceptional programme, offering valuable hands-on learning to professionals eager to elevate their capacities and performance. A short course experience doesn't get better than this! A big thank you to the friendly staff at Ekumfi, especially Farm Manager Mr. Kamkam Biney and Accountant Mr. Fred Siripi, for taking time out of their busy schedules to share invaluable insights into their work with our students. We also appreciate our dedicated faculty members—Short Course Coordinator, Dr. Cynthia Tagoe, Dr. Aba Crentsil, and Dr..John @Anoku—for accompanying the students and making the trip a success. Here are some sights and scenes from the trip 📸 #ISSERShortCourses #ProjectCycleManagement #capacitybuilding

The second Quarterly Economic Roundtable (QER) was successfully held yesterday at ISSER, with ISSER’s Emeritus Prof. Ernest Aryeetey delivering the keynote address. Our Director, Prof. Peter Quartey, also served as a panelist, addressing the critical topic: "Business Environment and Impact on SMEs." As co-organizers alongside the Ministry of Finance, Ghana and other departments of the University of Ghana, Legon, we're proud to see another well-attended and impactful event that underscored ISSER’s role in fostering informed discussions on Ghana’s economic landscape. Hon. Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Minister of Finance, commended the event, stating, “This platform has exceeded my expectations.” He praised the speakers, panelists, and participants for the valuable insights shared, which will help shape government policies on SMEs. His commitment to turning these recommendations into concrete outcomes for the benefit of all Ghanaians is especially encouraging. ISSER remains dedicated to promoting knowledge for development and are excited about the QER’s contribution to advancing the strategic goals of the University of Ghana and the nation. As the Vice-Chancellor highlighted in her welcome remarks, “Through the Quarterly Economic Roundtable, the University of Ghana strengthens its position not only as a hub for knowledge generation but also as a driver of public policy, innovation, and collaboration with key stakeholders for national development.” Missed the event?
