🌍✨ Investing in Women, Investing in Ghana’s Future ✨🌍 In honour of International Women’s Day tomorrow, our latest article highlights the crucial role of female kindergarten teachers in Ghana, who make up over 80% of the workforce. They shape the learning experiences of millions of young learners, yet, many face overcrowded classrooms, limited training, and inadequate resources, despite the proven impact of play-based early education on child development. At Sabre Education, we are working with the government and partners to bridge this gap: training teachers, improving school infrastructure, and advocating for quality early childhood education. Empowering Education in Ghana, GNECC GHANA together with like minded organizations like, Right To Play, Lively Minds, Associates for Change (AFC) Sabre Education etc., met with the Director General of Ghana Education Service on Wednesday, February 26,2025 to discuss collaborative efforts in reforming Ghana's education system. The meeting highlighted the importance of partnerships between Civil Society Organizations and GES in enhancing education outcomes. It's truly inspiring to see the ministry and CSOs forging stronger connections. 🚀 Strengthening early years education in La-Nkwantanang Madina! Last week, Sabre Education and the Ghana Education Service gathered key stakeholders to reflect on our impact and ensure the sustainability of play-based learning. 👥 From the National Director of ECE to health, social welfare, and traditional leaders, school heads, a representative for parents, private school representatives, and the Ghana Most Outstanding Teacher (a KG teacher!)—this diverse group underscores the need for engagement at every level to drive lasting change. The Chief of Otinibi put it best: 📢 “I urge all stakeholders to become champions of early years learning.” Key outcomes of the meeting: ✅ Improving infrastructure—classrooms, tables, and chairs for better learning spaces. ✅ Regular teacher training & monitoring to sustain quality education. When we all come together, we can build a strong foundation for Ghana’s youngest learners! 🌍 #PlayBasedLearning #QualityEducation #SabreEducation #CommunityEngagement

🌟 Expanding our work in the Eastern Region 🌟 Last month we kicked off our new phase of training for low-fee private schools in Akuapem North and Akuapem South Districts.🎉 Holding a four-day workshop we empowered early grade teachers, headteachers, and proprietors with hands-on skills and practical strategies in: 🧒 child development 👩🏫 play-based learning 📚 effective lesson planning All key to transforming classrooms into both dynamic and nurturing spaces. Training was delivered by 12 Sabre trained GES officers who ensured every session was interactive and insightful. We're also delighted to have the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) onboard—an organisation that regulates and ensures the quality of pre-tertiary schools in Ghana—giving us confidence in the long-term sustainability of play-based learning in our schools. Working alongside NaSIA reinforces our belief that this approach will thrive in Ghana’s private school sector. 🪴 Thank you to all the educators who attended the training. Your commitment to excellence in education is inspiring!✨
