11th EDF West Africa Competitiveness Programme ...Building competitiveness for Exports

About us

The 'Ghana Component' Project is part of the West Africa Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP), which is implemented with a subsidiary approach through nine different components covering ECOWAS. The Project is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Its implementation will increase access to regional and international markets of Ghanaian goods and products. Overall, the Project aims to improve the performance and growth of the following value chains: (i) Cassava, (ii) Fruits (mango and pineapple) and (iii) Cosmetics and personal care products. These sectors are in line with the priorities of the Ghanaian Government and have a high potential for industrialization and job creation.
