Two more “fun” compact camera series has been announced today by Pentax, with my favorite being the Optio RZ10 (pictured above). For around $270, it has a 14MP sensor, and a 10x optical zoom.
The second model, the Optio RS1000 (pictured below), is definitely for the younger crowd, with the selling point being the swappable front skins, and the ability to create and print skins of your own. In terms of specs, there’s a 14MP sensor and 3-inch LCD. Kids’ cameras certainly are a lot more advanced than our first digital cameras, let me just remind you of that.
I do rather like that RZ10, which would make a nice budget snapper. The specs are slightly better than the similarly-retro-themed H90 model from earlier in the year.
