We are excited to share with you our latest design endeavor. This private commission concerns the design and construction of two almost identical rocky volumes nestled in the greek mountains and more specifically in the area of Eptalofos-Agoriani. Our proposal aims to reinterpret the vernacular forms and architecture of the area by using familiar elements of this architectural dictionary yet in an uncanny way. The slanted roof is designed as asymmetrical and sits on a rocky skin which covers the whole perimeter of the houses, yet it doesn't touch the ground as one would expect. It is interrupted by a concrete base on which both of the houses sit detached from the natural terrain making them seem like hovering prisms. Elongated windows, cantilevered volumes, bare concrete beams and wooden elements either curved or straight introduce a touch of contemporary which when mixed with the "traditional" offer an interesting dialogue between the "old" and the "new". #architecture #mountain #mountaincabin #design #interiordesign #mountainlovers #winterdecor #luxurylifestyle #mountainarchitecture

We are excited to share with you our upcoming winter project. This interior design and construction of two almost identical rocky volumes nestled in the greek mountains and more specifically in the area of Eptalofos-Agoriani. Our proposal aims to reinterpret the vernacular forms and architecture of the area by using familiar elements of this architectural dictionary yet in an uncanny way. Wooden elements play a decisive role in the interior of the houses adding warmth and craftsmanship to the final result. The kitchen island directed towards the view is in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape views through the use of the earthy travertine marble. The sculptural design of the fireplace adds to the playfulness of the living room. Yesterday was a proud day for us and our office as our collaboration with Jannis Varelas Studio for the Onassis Hospital was officially unveiled. We attended the presentation of JV Studio alongside members of the Onassis Hospital Board and press delegates. We will announce more soon about this unique project and our collaboration with the ONASSIS FOUNDATION and JV Studio.
