🌍 Excited to have participated in the successful kickoff meeting of the IRHIS project in Kaunas, Lithuania, on October 10-11, 2024! Representing the Hellenic Digital Health Cluster, Dimitrios G. Katehakis and George D. joined partners to launch the first EU-wide Advanced Remote Care Demonstration Chain. We’re driving AI-powered MedTech in critical remote care areas: musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological disorder treatment, and ICU patient care, with 1000+ patients involved across 3 DemoScale Labs in Europe. Thrilled to be part of this collaborative effort to revolutionize healthcare innovation across Less Developed Regions! We are particularly proud that the consortium includes a strong Greek team, with Gnomon Informatics SA and Ergobyte Informatics S.A. The #smartHEALTH Study Visit, held from September 25-27, 2024, brought together #EDIHs from across Europe, leading researchers and innovative companies of the local ecosystem. Key Highlights: 🔍 EDIHs exchange of good practices: Five EDIHs from across Europe (Digital Innovation Hub Cyprus (DiGiNN), INNDIH - Spain, European Digital Innovation Hub "Trakia" - Bulgaria, Vědeckotechnický park UP (DIGI2Health) – Czech Republic, and Digital Innovation Zone EDIH – Romania) had the opportunity to showcase their best practices and success stories, and explore ways for further cooperation. 🎤 Key Presentations: Experts delivered insightful talks, with prof. Dimitrios Plexousakis introducing FORTH and its research labs, and Dimitris Filippidis presenting smartHEALTH’s goals, services, and achievements. Costas Karamanis shared insights into the client journey and daily operations of the Hub, while Dimitrios G. Katehakis discussed the CeHA history and hospital applications. George Dimitriou (George D.) outlined the Hellenic Digital Health Cluster’s impact on digital health in Greece, and Angelina Kouroubali, PhD, FIAHSI highlighted Crete’s role in active ageing policy. Iraklis K. Karantonis and Dr. George Papamichail shared how smartHEALTH provides support through funding and incubation services.
