Στο συνέδριο “Southeast Europe Connectivity Forum II", που διεξήχθη στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στις 22 Οκτωβρίου, ο Αντιπρόεδρος και Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της ΜΕΤΚΑ ΑΤΕ, κ. Ντίνος Μπενρουμπή, αναφέρθηκε στη σημασία των ιδιωτικών έργων υποδομής στην Ελλάδα (συμπεριλαμβανομένων και των ΣΔΙΤ). Ειδικότερα αναφέρθηκε στην επέκταση της 6ης προβλήτας του ΟΛΘ, έργο στο οποίο η ΜΕΤΚΑ ηγείται της Κοινοπραξίας που έχει αναδειχθεί ως προτιμητέος ανάδοχος, και η εκτέλεσή του θα συμβάλει καθοριστικά στο Connectivity της ΝΑ Ευρώπης. Παράλληλα, επεσήμανε ότι η ΜΕΤΚΑ εκτελεί μεγάλα έργα υποδομών και ΣΔΙΤ, αναδεικνύοντας την ισχυρή παρουσία της εταιρείας στην αγορά. At the “Southeast Europe Connectivity Forum II,” held in Thessaloniki on October 22, the Vice President and CEO of METKA ATE, Mr. Dinos Benroubi, highlighted the importance of private infrastructure projects in Greece, including PPPs (Public-Private Partnerships). He specifically referred to the expansion of the 6th pier at the Port of Thessaloniki (OLTH), a project in which METKA leads the consortium that has been selected as the preferred contractor. The execution of this project will play a key role in the connectivity of Southeast Europe. Additionally, he pointed out that METKA is executing large infrastructure and PPP projects, showcasing the company’s strong presence in the market.

Ο Υφυπουργός Υποδομών και Μεταφορών, αρμόδιος για τις Μεταφορές, κ. Βασίλης Οικονόμου, πραγματοποίησε επίσκεψη στον Δήμο Μεγαρέων, συνοδευόμενος από υψηλόβαθμα στελέχη του Υπουργείου και του ΟΣΕ. Κατά την επίσκεψη συζητήθηκε η αναβάθμιση του Αερολιμένα Μεγάρων, καθώς και η πρόοδος των έργων του Προαστιακού Σιδηροδρόμου Δυτικής Αττικής, που περιλαμβάνει την κατασκευή νέων σταθμών στην περιοχή. Ο Υφυπουργός τόνισε τρεις βασικές προτεραιότητες για την περιοχή: την αναβάθμιση του Αερολιμένα Μεγάρων, την ανάπτυξη του νέου Προαστιακού για την ενίσχυση της προσβασιμότητας, και την αναδιάρθρωση της αστικής συγκοινωνίας για τη βελτίωση των υπηρεσιών προς τους πολίτες. Ανάδοχος του έργου για την αναβάθμιση της υφιστάμενης σιδηροδρομικής γραμμής του Προαστιακού Σιδηροδρόμου Δυτικής Αττικής είναι η ΜΕΤΚΑ ΑΤΕ. The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Transport, Mr Vasilis Oikonomou, paid a visit to the Municipality of Megara, accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry and the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE). During the visit, discussions were held regarding the upgrade of the Megara Airport, as well as the progress of the West Attica Suburban Railway project, which includes the construction of new stations in the area. The Deputy Minister emphasized three key priorities for the region: the upgrade of the Megara Airport, the development of the new Suburban Railway to enhance accessibility, and the restructuring of urban transport to improve services for citizens. The contractor for the upgrade of the existing railway line of the West Attica Suburban Railway is METKA ATE.

O Αντιπρόεδρος & Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της ΜΕΤΚΑ ΑΤE, Ντίνος Μπενρουμπή, συμμετείχε στο πάνελ «Η τράπεζα των κατασκευών: Η επόμενη ημέρα στα μεγάλα έργα» του 7ου Συνεδρίου Υποδομών-Μεταφορών ITC 2024. Τόνισε ότι τα ανεκτέλεστα όλων των εταιρειών ανεβαίνουν, κάτι που σημαίνει ότι η πορεία του κλάδου είναι ανοδική, για να εκτελεστούν όμως τα έργα εμπρόθεσμα και εντός προϋπολογισμού, πρέπει να ισχύσουν έγκαιρα κάποιες συνθήκες. Ο κ. Μπενρουμπή ζήτησε να φτάνει έγκαιρα στους αναδόχους η εξασφαλισμένη-όπως ανέφερε ο Υπουργός - χρηματοδότηση και να γίνονται εμπρόθεσμα οι πληρωμές. Παράλληλα, για τα ανεκτέλεστα είπε «πως αν δεν εκτελεστούν εντός συγκεκριμένων χρονικών πλαισίων προκαλούν προβλήματα» και ότι είναι σημαντικό να έχει ένα υπουργείο αρμοδιότητα για όλα τα θέματα που προκύπτουν (απαλλοτριώσεις, περιβαλλοντικά κλπ) για να αποφευχθούν καθυστερήσεις. The Vice President & CEO of METKA ATE, Dinos Benroubi, participated in the panel "The Bank of Construction: The Next Day in Major Projects" at the 7th ITC 2024 Infrastructure-Transport Conference. He emphasized that the backlog of all companies is increasing, which indicates that the sector is on an upward trajectory. However, for the projects to be completed on time and within budget, certain conditions need to be met promptly. Mr. Benroubi called for the secured funding – as mentioned by the Minister – to reach the contractors in a timely manner and for payments to be made on time. At the same time, regarding the backlog, he stated that "if not completed within specific timeframes, it causes problems" and stressed the importance of having a single ministry responsible for all issues that arise (expropriations, environmental matters, etc.) to avoid delays.

On Tuesday, 18 June, for the first time in the 117-year history of SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises | ΣΕΒ σύνδεσμος επιχειρήσεων και βιομηχανιών, elections were held for the election of the President and the Board of Directors. Mr Theodoropoulos was elected President, while Mr Evangelos Chrysafis, Vice President and Executive Board Member for Regulatory and Strategic Issues of Energy & Infrastructure Projects of #Metlen Energy & Metals and President of METKA ATE, was elected to the new Board of Directors. Mr. Chrysafis has previously participated in SEV’s Energy Committee, where he contributed to changes in the domestic and European regulatory environment. In particular, he contributed to the liberalisation of the gas and electricity markets, while pursuing the modernisation of the energy sector and the securing of competitive energy costs for the energy-intensive industry in Greece.

The "Νοιάζομαι" initiative of the Aluminium of Greece plant of the Metallurgy Sector of #MYTILINEOS was awarded GOLD in the "Work H&S Training Program & Awareness Initiative" category, among 19 nominations. At the same time, METKA received the WINNER award in the "Transportation Infrastructure" category for the Aktion – Amvrakia Motorway project and the BRONZE award in the "H&S System Update & Performance Improvement" category for the Operational Health & Safety Systems in Infrastructure projects. Στα κρίσιμα «κλειδιά» για την ομαλή εκτέλεση ενός έργου υποδομής αναφέρθηκε ο κ. Ντίνος Μπενρουμπή, Αντιπρόεδρος & Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της ΜΕΤΚΑ ΑΤΕ, σε συζήτηση του με τον δημοσιογράφο του ΑΠΕ, Αιμίλιο Περδικάρη, που διεξήχθη στα πλαίσια του “Delphi Economic Forum 2024”. Ο κ. Mr. Dinos Benroubi, Vice Chairman & CEO of METKA ATE, referred to the crucial factors for the smooth execution of an infrastructure project, participating in the "Delphi Economic Forum 2024". Mr. Benroubi noted that METKA ATE's technical expertise, alongside the financial strength of MYTILINEOS S.A., as well as the favorable financing terms the company can achieve, contribute to the successful implementation of the projects. Furthermore, he added that the main points the construction sector will need to focus on are improving the resilience of projects against natural disasters, as well as the adoption of more environmentally friendly materials.
