Our Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Dr Ying Huang, showcased our latest C-V2X technologies, and discussed future trends in autonomous driving with Prof zexiang li from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and other experts. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau collaborated with ASTRI to host public guide tours today, drawing members of public to have a better understanding of Hong Kong's achievements in I&T. During the tours, visitors explored a diverse array of ASTRI’s cutting-edge technologies, including 5G communication technologies, machine vision, and AI applications. ASTRI has been active in recruiting and nurturing I&T talents, aligning with the HKSAR Government’s initiatives to build the city into an international hub for high-calibre talents. This effort supports the latest Policy Address about establishing the Committee on Education, Technology and Talents, and reforming various talent admission mechanisms. As part of these efforts, ASTRI has participated in recruitment fairs at several prestigious universities, including The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University (Zhuhai campus). At these events, we highlighted the dynamic I&T ecosystem in Hong Kong and presented attractive job opportunities for young talents in the tech sector. The goal is to expand the city’s I&T talent pool and further strengthen our R&D capabilities.
