The Great Eagle Group has sponsored Music Children Foundation (MCF) to establish the Great Eagle Music Children Ensemble. This year, the Ensemble has held a 5-month “Student Conductor Training Programme”, allowing members to deepen their understanding of their instruments and music, as well as learn conducting techniques. Six members were selected to become student conductors and lead the team in performances. The video shares the challenges the students faced during their conducting training, how they overcame difficulties, and the final performance. The Great Eagle Group supported the GameChanger programme organised by The Hongkong Bank Foundation. As an Experience Partner of the programme, we provided opportunities for members of the Love 21 Foundation, who have autism or Down syndrome, to help broaden their horizons and pursue their aspirations. In early September, the Group arranged for over 20 young individuals, caretaker, and #HSBCVolunteer mentors to visit Cordis, Hong Kong. During the visit, they learned about the hotel’s facilities and operations, and had hands-on experience creating fun mocktails, enjoying a fulfilling and meaningful afternoon. This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival party was a delightful celebration for everyone at Great Eagle. The party kicked off with entertaining group games that filled the room with laughter, while the lantern-making workshop allowed colleagues to showcase their creativity by crafting beautiful lanterns. We also enjoyed delicious traditional mooncakes and fruits, which are an integral part of festive celebrations and symbolise unity and gratitude. We also took this precious moment to celebrate with our September birthday star. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for unity and harmony. To celebrate the festival, the Great Eagle Volunteer Team collaborated with the Christian Family Service Centre 基督教家庭服務中心 to visit the Shun On District Elderly Community Centre in Kwun Tong in mid-September. On the event day, volunteers engaged with the seniors in activities such as Bingo and curling games in a joyful atmosphere. Volunteers also presented mooncakes and handwritten greeting cards, sharing warm Mid-Autumn wishes and blessings for a delightful celebration together. #GreatEagle #Sustainability #SocialGood #Volunteering

To help our colleagues learn effective stress-reduction techniques, we invited instructors from the Hong Kong Red Cross to conduct a Lunch & Learn Mindfulness Workshop. During the workshop, our colleagues gained a deeper understanding of mindfulness and its benefits. Under the guidance of the instructors, they engaged in mindfulness breathing exercises, experiencing the calming effects of mindfulness firsthand. One of the highlights of the workshop was the creation of mindfulness jars. Colleagues selected their favorite materials and place them one by one into the jars, allowing them to quiet their minds and focus on the present moment. We discovered how we can each make a difference by embracing a low-carbon lifestyle, starting right from our homes and workplaces. From crafting eco-friendly mosquito repellents to grasping concepts like climate change and Hong Kong's target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the younger members of our group enthusiastically participated in this enlightening experience. Our vision extends beyond corporate boundaries. As we forge ahead with our Climate Leadership Strategy, we envision a future where sustainability isn't just a goal—it's a way of life. We believe in nurturing a culture of sustainability that transcends generations.
